Execellent Always!!!. We have been going to Los Baez/Casa Baez since the early 70’s raised my kids at this restaurant and also my grandkids. My husband and I have tried every mexican restaurant in Salem, this is by far our favorite, my kids favorite and my grandkids favorite. Never had bad service and always great food!!!!
Not good!. I have been here before along time ago and I though it was decent, we pulled in last night and my wife reminded me of last time and said we should go next door to Olive Garden. I figured we would give it one more chance, I hate to say it but that will be the last time… they ran out of RICE…..RICE! that’s like McDonald’s running out of French fries… so they made up for it with double beans on everything… hand made tortillas …. yeah last week, I had the double burrito plate… I could barley find them, they had so much mediocre tasting red sauce on them… they where soggy and all kinds of wrong. my wifes food was just as bad soggy floating in a small lake of red sauce. when I asked what happened to the rice I was told they got slammed and sold out….hmm umm ok but that’s what you do…cook some more,…unless you buy it precooked and you don’t have any more garbage bags of it… on a positive side great chips and salsa!
Can’t be beat!. I am always very satisfied with their service. They have never messed up an order of mine, are always friendly, and the food is spectacular! Out of all the Mexican restaurants that I’ve tried, they have the best homemade tortillas, beans, rice, chimichangas, enchiladas, chips, guacamole, EVERYTHING! Unfortunately, I don’t live close anymore, but whenever I’m near Salem, I try to make it there, even if it’s a little bit out of the way. If you want good Mexican food, go to Casa Baez
Maybe we caught them on a bad day? I had the chicken enchilada, my husband had that plus a chile relleno. Tge enchilada had chicken that wasn’t white meat and was not trimmed well. The egg on the chile relleno was burned. The homemade flour tortillas were excellent, however. We used to dine here years ago when it was Los Baez, but I guess you can’t go home again.
Very expensive and worst salsa we have ever had. We will never go back.
The service was great, I thought the dinner menu was a little over priced for the quality of the food, but I give the food a 7/10. I would eat there again but probably for lunch.
