Great views of the runway, great interior decor with tons of planes hanging overhead. Service friendly and attentive. Food pretty good, I had the shrimp salad. Decent amount of shrimp. Not bad.

Nothing special. Had the Ruben, very little corned beef and way too much sauerkraut…I think the bread was thicker than the meat. Others in the group had various other sandwiches and it was the same. Will not recommended.

I am visiting from out of town, and was recommened by a local to try the Flight Deck…. And my impression was so/so. I was expecting it to be on the smaller side, and it was… We were able to find a table as soon as we came in, but did notice a wait start as we began our meal. I had the roast beef dip with fries. I found it very tasty, flavorful, and not dry at all. The fries were cooked and seasoned well. My problem came with our sever. My drink was never refilled, and I was able to see her behind a small wall they have that separates the kitchen from the dining room… And inbetween sevicing tables, she was eating.. Using her hands… Licking her fingers, ECt. She did not wash her hands before serving her next table. Honestly, if I would have seen it before… I wouldn’t have eaten my food. I don’t think the staff there realizes that people are aware of what they are doing. Like I said, the food was fine… But, of I was a local, I would not return because of the staff.

Always a solid choice.. I managed to snag my preferred window seat today. The deck was open, but the air conditioning felt pretty good. The last time I was here I noticed they served their French Dip Sandwich on a Pretzel Bread Hoagie Roll that looked amazing. So I ordered one today. My heart sank when I saw the Roll it came on. That is until I tasted it. The Bread was feather light and Buttery tasting. Its flavor blended with the lean Beef, good melted Swiss Cheese and Au Jus to create a wonderful taste sensation. The French Fries are good here, but I knew I was going to OD on Fries on Burger day, later in the week, so I had a Side Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing. The service was up to the Flight Deck’s customarily high standards. I enjoyed the usual aviation choreography and had a good lunch and a generally relaxing good time.If you haven’t done so, give the Flight Deck a try. And tell ’em Chuck sent you!07 Jun, 2012Consistently Good!. I dont think, in all the years Ive been coming here I ever had a bad meal or bad service. With the exception of the wisenheimer bartender who barraged me with a litany of questions, which would have done Torquemada proud, when I asked to speak to the owner. I finally told him to forget it and that I would try another time. I dont consider who I am or why I want to speak to the owner any of his damned business, thanks all the same. And I considered his amateur inquisition more than a step or two out of line. I always enjoy a window seat where I can watch the small airplanes land, take off and taxi and marvel at the National Guard Blackhawk helicopters as they maneuver about. A good stiff wind was blowing at ground level adding a bit of interest to the show. The big powder-puff clouds in the higher elevations just seemed to hang in the azure sky. I lunched with one friend and ran into two others here today. Real estate brokers always know where to find the good eats.I had a Bleu Cheese/Bacon Burger and a cup of good Black Bean and Sausage Soup. The Burger was an upper-end 1/3 lb Angus Patty with Sharp Bleu Cheese Crumbles, Onion, Tomato, Lettuce and Dill Chips. I didnt have the presence of mind to request that they hold the Mayo, but no matter. I didnt try it but noticed, with interest, that they serve their French Dip on a Pretzel Bread Hoagie Roll. What a novel and inspired idea. So often French Dips are done on Bread which all but disintegrates in the Au Jus. Ill be comin back to try one!I didnt catch the servers name but she did a first rate job and tolerated all my questions about the Soup ingredients. (She wasnt sure what the Sausage was but its sourced from FSA. Ill bet thats where the Angus Patties come from too.)Even with the brief and hardly noticeable irritant of the encounter with the bartender, it was a most pleasant interlude.I recommend the Flight Deck.26 Feb, 2010Great lunch place!. Good American fare. It’s fun to watch the airplanes take off and land. Good friendly service. Nice folks. A pal and I try to meet there once a month or so. If you haven’t been there, you should try it. I don’t think you’ll be disapointed.

I come here about once a month with my dad and we always have a great time. Great service and the burgers are delish. He always gets soup of the day and the corn chowder has been the best so far. Also, it’s a lovely change of scenery from the regular Ho-hum restaurant decor to the take-off and landings of bi-planes and the like.

A Toss-Up. We read about Flight Deck in a S-J story about Chef’s Nite Out + and four of us wanted to try a new restaurant for a standing Tuesday supper. Convenient parking, nice location and a bright dining area overlooking airport operations. Tables are neatly set with model airplanes of every vintage suspended overhead. We were welcomed with hospitality. The menu was interesting with aviation-themed choices; American comfort food. We placed our order; a pasta dish with shrimp, steak with mushroom & sauce, fried chicken & a Ruben sandwich. The angel hair pasta was fair but a bit of hide & seek to find the shrimp. The mushroom & demi glaze was tasty, however the steak was overdone as was the Ruben (tell the cook to turn down the heat on the grill) the (deep fried) chicken was way, way overcooked – heavily crusted, browned with a hard texture. We thought it may have been pre-cooked Banquet chicken from the grocery store. Two of our diners had good looking salad. The best offering for my dinner was a cup of home made chicken noodle soup.
