JCheats on beer prices. I have eaten many meals here because it is near my daughters house and the food won’t poison you. I recently decided to have beer with my meal. Given the option of a medium or large draft, I ordered a large draft which was served in a heavy margarita glass. Most restaurants serve draft in pints or a large 22 oz. I quickly decided this was not a 22 oz serving. I then ordered the medium size and held on to the ‘large’ glass when the medium arrived. Of course as I expected, the medium size filled the large glass. I was charged 51 cents more for the large when it was the same as the medium. The server watched me from afar as I measured the contents. When I paid the bill I asked to talk to the manager. She was unavailable as she had left when I approached the cashier and she didn’t respond to her cell phone. I left my name and number and she did not call me the next two days. When I called the restaurant two days later she was still not there. Both days when I asked who was the second in command and who made decisions when the manager was not there, I was told that no one was in charge.Any restaurant that CHEATS the customers in this way should not be patronized.
Our favorite restaurant in Salem. When we moved to the neighborhood nearly 10 years ago, we noticed Las Palomas a few blocks away. Out of convenience, it didn’t take long for us to eat dinner there. We now use their food (especially their shrimp fajitas, camarones a la diablo, and chili rellenos) as the bar to which we compare all other Mexican restaurants. And, we haven’t found anyone who can beat them. Not in Arizona, New Mexico or Texas either. The employees aren’t at the top of the friendliness ratings, but that’s not why we go out to eat. You won’t be disappointed.

Good Chicken Enchiladas!. I ate here some time back with my brother. The place was very clean and inviting. Service was good. Water, chips and salsa were brought with our menus. The time between order and presentation was reasonable. My impressions were altogether favorable. I don’t recall what my brother ordered, but do remember he also was pleased.
