I joined our work crew for lunch. We arrived a little before noon and were seated immediately. I chose the soup & salad lunch special, selecting chowder for the soup. The salad includes wood-grilled shrimp and I selected a balsamic vinaigrette dressing, in keeping with my diet-conscious mode of late. The salad was delicious, a fairly typical salad mix with croutons, and I really enjoyed the dressing. The chowder was, unfortunately, light on clams, so it had more of a potato soup feel to it. Our server was friendly and conscious of our need to get back to work in a timely manner. Overall, a good visit – my coworkers seemed to enjoy their meals as well.

Tried the 14.99 special today. Not much a fan. Food was good but not fantastic. Dessert was way to rich in flavor. I had the clam chowder and garden salad..lets just say best part of the meal. Also had the spicy coconut shrimp, threw chocolate brownie and lime pie, both deserts were too rich to enjoy. Service was alright. Other then our waitresses, the other waiters and greeters looked stuck up and miserable. If you want good food for what your paying this might not be the place.

SCIENTISTS PUZZLED BY OCEAN’S SUDDEN SALINITY DECLINE!. Well I know where that salt went! On my Lobster and Shrimp at lunch today. The Lobster wasn’t quite ruined, but close. I had their Seaport combo plate. The Shrimp Scampi didn’t hold a candle to that which SWMBO makes at home. The Skewered Roasted Shrimp were so-so. They were all previously frozen, unless I miss my guess. The Wild Rice mix was good. The Broccoli was edible. The Cheese Biscuits were delicious. Our Salads were served on chilled plates and fresh. My bride had Deep Fried Butterflied Shrimp which was the best seafood item on either plate. The restaurant itself was clean and attractive with art-mill paintings, depicting nautical and seaside scenes. The service was exemplary. Our server, Jake, was a real pro and on top of his game. His efforts were as good as you’ll find in this town.Had the food been of the first quality and well prepared, the price would have been alright. ($60 including two Brews and Jake’s well earned gratuity) Sadly, it fell badly on its nose. Red Lobster lived up to its reputation as the Olive Garden of Seafood, without the wait.It is doubtful we will be back.As much as it saddens me to say so, but if you want better than average Seafood in Salem, Jonathan’s is really your only choice.

It’s just what you expect!. Go for the Cheddar Bay biscuits and a salad. The seafood is unremarkable and with few exceptions previously frozen. Not bad but seriously, you can’t go wrong with a good fresh salad and still warm cheezy biscuits!

We had not been to Red Lobster for a few years because we felt it was pretty spendy. However, we decided to try agai & was pleased to see more value options. It was good & service was great. Nice drink menu for the bar also. However, the best part of Red Lobster is always the Cheddar Bay Biscuits. We already planned what to get our next visit.

Good food. Pretty good food here. Service has always been pretty good and it has been clean every time we have been. The menu had changed and there was an item that was no longer offered but they did offer to make it anyway for my wife which was pretty awesome.
