Variety is the. . .. Wow! I really like Sweet Papaya. While they are a pretty standard frozen yogurt shop – pick a bowl, pick your flavors, pick your toppings, then pay by the weight – they have a dazzling variety of yogurt flavors and toppings. With a mix of regular yogurt, fat free, sugar free, and low fat, they have an option for every eater. They also have toppings galore! Personally I was intrigued by the chocolate covered goodies, but underwhelmed by the actual items I picked. While the chocolate covered confections looked delicious, in reality the chocolate topping was cheap and thinly flavored. Considering how big and heavy those chocolate covered goodies are, I felt they weren’t worth what I’d be charged for them – they made my bowl pretty heavy! That said, all the other toppings were great, and I had a hard time on deciding just which ones I wanted. Many candies, crunchies, syrups, and fruits to choose from. On the whole, a great place to get yogurt, although it’s location is rather far from my Mom’s house (which is who I stay with when I visit Salem/Keizer, who says you can’t go home?). As a regular thing I will probably go to the Green Apple in Keizer, but when I’m on Lancaster, you can be sure my car will be stopping at Sweet Papaya.

I love that they have 16 flavors, including a few consistent flavors – I LOVE the Original Euro tart with fruit on top. A great (and somewhat healthy) dessert!I definitely will drive across town (and past a couple other fro-yo joints) just for Sweet Papaya.

Best Selection of Toppings and Flavors. So happy to have found this little gem. The atmosphere is not great but it’s never too busy and they have more toppings and fro yo flavors than I have found at any other comparable place. The fro yo is always proper consistency (not runny) and the toppings are endless. It’s a favorite in our house.
Best froyo experience in salem. No other froyo place even comes near what sweet papaya has to offer. Do it.
