Just Okay. This is either the second or third time that my wife and I have been here. We are not overly impressed. I have ordered the Captain’s Platter at least twice. Each time I have high hopes, but both times I am left somewhat disappointed. The razor clam is pan fried (no batter) in just butter — it is only fair at best. The cole slaw was prepared for awhile, not very good, and had pineapple in it, which did not add to it. The fries are good for large cut ones. The shrimp was good too. If I went again, I would probably just stick to their cod fish & chips. It is more reasonably priced and probably their strongest menu item. Pop is by the can for 1.50 each. The owner is friendly to some and grumpy to others — by his choice and indiscriminate. It doesn’t seem like he likes doing what he does. ???

First of all I have been a customer of the seafood store next door to the restaurant for years and they are such wonderful people. My son and I went in one day to buy some razor calms and were permitted to go in the back of the processing facility and watch and learn. Unfortunately today we decided to try the restaurant the girl running the the counter and cooking was horrible! Very snide and rude. To top it off she does not know how to cook razor clams properly. This is unfortunate because I know that this is most likely a small family ran business and she will definitely hurt business. I will still return for the seafood in the market just will not visit the eating establishment.

Great little place!. Ate there yesterday – again. Wonderful Halibut & chips. Fresh, crispy crust, flaky tender fish. Hubby had the grilled tuna sandwich and loved it – nice since he doesn’t eat fish by choice. Good fries. Coleslaw worth bits of pineapple in it – different and good. Great, friendly service. Outside deck. It’s small and can be really crowded at times but it’s worth waiting if you have to.

The Name Says It All. This is an AMAZING diner/hole in the wall! I am from Utah and came to Buoy’s Best when I was little, fell in love with it, and came to seaside today and found that Buoy’s still has the BEST fish and chips!!! I highly recomend you stop by on your way through Seaside.

    FYI: it closes at 5!

Lady working was a little trashy and kind of dismissive like my questions about their food were bothersome. Fried food was above average. I don’t recommend the melts. Tiny portion and nothing special.

Fresh, delicious, honest, uncomplicated. Almost missed it, glad we didn’t!
