Over priced for what you get but decent food. Absolutely no beer selection. Could do better but it is right downtown . The seafood is good, but not like most Oregonian cuisine.

Had brunch at Finn’s. GF had the salmon chowder, she liked it, but did not have much salmon in it. I had the Burrito, it was BIG, loaded with eggs and meats. But a little on the greasy side. Service was good.

We were in Seaside and were hungry for fish ! So we went into Finns Fish House and got a Bowl of Clam Chowder with Salmon pieces in it, Delicious! Then we ordered the Halibut Fish and Chips for four and shared it ! Very tasty I may say ! Thank you Finns for a wonderful lunch and nice friendly atmosphere! Good prices too !

Fish Tacos for Saturday lunch. I had the fish tacos, they were $15, it included a salad, black beans (refried?), and a ball of white rice. The salad was the best thing I ate. The fish tacos had a small piece of fried whitefish that tasted very fishy, cabbage instead of lettuce, pineapple salsa, a white flavorless sauce, and feta cheese. Now I am no foodie, but those items do NOT go together AT ALL. Not only did it taste TERRIBLE, it upset my stomach after eating only one, needless to say I did not eat the second one. The black beans were not cooked all the way, chopped up, dry, with no salt. I only tasted it, I did not eat it. The rice ball I never even touched, just from the looks of it, it was dried out, butterless, flavorless and I am most certain, had no salt as none of the other items had any salt. I looked at another table and they had the battered fish, which was closer to black than golden brown. I would not recommend going to this restaurant, unless your just visiting the bathroom, but bring a towel because the paper towels come out in 3 inch increments!

Okie dokie. I’ve been to this restaurant many times but never realized they considered themselves a seafood joint. They have the best chicken fried steak in town… I would opt out of the seafood and go for breakfast

Finn’s Fish House…Not What It’s Cracked Up To Be. My husband and I stopped in at 11 am to have breakfast after arriving in Seaside to spend the night at the beach. The menu states that breakfast is served until noon and we were informed that it was wrong when we were seated. We were seated right next to a door that led to outside dining. The servers were in and out that door and it was chilly out. I thought that seating us there was rather odd, considering how chilly it was and the restaurant was no where near filled to capacity and there was plenty of other seating available. There was a table of men behind us cussing up a storm. They were very loud. I guess they must have been regulars because the servers were very attentive to them but nothing was said to them about toning down their abhorrent language. I have no complaints about the hostess as she was super attentive to keeping our drink glasses filled. We settled on the cod fish and chips. I’m not sure where the cook learned to deep fry battered cod, but I was completely and utterly disappointed. The batter on my cod was soggy and greasy. The cod, itself, was mushy and not the firm texture that one would expect of properly cooked cod. The French fries that came with the meal were overcooked to the point of being inedible…completely dry. I found myself dousing them with malt vinegar so that the table across the fireplace from me couldn’t hear me crunching away on them. Our server looked at me like I had three heads when she asked how everything was and I told her it was ok. I’m not going to gush and say it’s super good when it’s not. I’m sorry, but when this restaurant was called Pudgie’s years ago, the food was fantastic. Finn’s Fish House looks the part of a great restaurant at the beach. The ambiance is great. The hostess did her job very efficiently. Our server didn’t need to act so surprised and didn’t need to be so loud because I didn’t think their food was up to par. This place is over-priced and the food is less than mediocre. What a disappointment. I won’t be back nor will I recommend this restaurant to anybody…I wouldn’t want my reputation as a food blogger to take a hit like that. Epic fail, Finn’s Fish House.
