Wow… Lost a regular local customer. My husband and I have been regulars at the Firehouse, we live local and have always enjoyed the good food, good staff and good price. That all went south on Sunday when we went to meet friends for breakfast. Yes, they were busy. It was great that a newer staff member sat us at a table for 5-6 people. Our two party members were late. A group of 5 came in and the woman complained, and since our other two party members were running late, they asked us to leave the table. Mind you, we were seated with water and menus in hand. The waiter was rude about it, and didn’t give a crap or offer any apology. One of the regular waitresses who did acknowledge that we were regulars and local apologized, but still we were to leave the table. She didn’t want us to leave, but didn’t offer another solution. This was handled bad bad badly! If handled another way, we probably would have been irritated, but been okay. We are the people in this small community who support you all year long. The Firehouse opened for dinner about a month ago, two nights only. We were one of the first ones to give it a try, and if I didn’t know better about good food and service, I would have written a bad review about it, because the food was not great that night, nor the service. But because of the fact we are local and regulars, we knew better food and service. It saddens me to end it this way. After two years to say, we are done. Warning to others: make sure your entire party is present when seated, you may loose the table to another larger party. Myself and husband, plus another 8 locals, will never step foot in the Firehouse. This won’t break them, they’ll do just fine, they just went get my local business or my referrals again. I also don’t expect this review to change ones mind. I however, feel better letting you know.
Firehouse grill seaside Oregon. Food was absolutely delicious. We went twice in two days excellent meal each time. i would recommend this restaurant. Linda
Good food, but too popular for their own good.. Two months ago my wife and I vacationed near Seaside and stopped in at Firehouse to have breakfast. The food was reasonably priced and we were able to share the biscuits and gravy and not feel as though there wasn’t enough to go around. We are back at Seaside now and stopped in yesterday for breakfast. It seems the portion sizes have shrunk and the everything on the menus has gone up by at least $2.00. To me it seems maybe now that they’ve become popular they’ve decided they can give you less and charge you more and you’ll keep come back. Not me however.
This place is fantastic, I seldomly come across such good places, eggs are perfect, fresh made biscuits, home made gravy (not the bland type either) very flavorful.
