Good Clam chowder. Wife had linguini and clam sauce, it was more like Alfredo with clams in a bad way. Daughter got the Fish and chips combo: cod, tuna, salmon, and halibut. Halibut was very good, followed by the salmon. Steam clams good, broth needed to have more flavor. Stick with the seafood, not the pasta. Excellent service. I would go back again.
Mediocre food at best. Place was packed and service was slow, at 5:30 in the afternoon. Highly recommended but not by us. Had the appetizer sampler, broiled in butter, the fish, clams and oysters were mediocre. Had the sampler Fish and Chips, the salmon and halibut were good, the cod and albacore were fair to poor. Will not go back.
Will DEFINITELY visit again!. I’ve been coming to Seaside for around 25 years now for Memorial Day weekend and this is the first year we discovered Norma’s! What a breath of fresh air! Every single person working there was pleasant, the service was great and the food was FANTASTIC! My husband and I shared a bucket of clanes and the 7pc Halibut and Chips dinner. We loved that the clams were steamed with veggies and weren’t soaking in butter. They make all their dressings in house and you can’t definitely tell! One of the best salads we’ve had! The 7pc Halibut was more than enough for two to share! We were both stuffed after 3 pieces and had to ask our oldest to help us finish the last piece. That’s saying a lot because my husband is no little man weighing in at around 225. I couldn’t imagine 1 person eating that whole thing! We left with smiles on our faces, full tummies and couldn’t stop talking about how surprised we were that we didn’t feel yucky at all after eating what is typically a very rich meal. So sad we didn’t discover this place sooner! Thank you Norma’s!!
Alaskan crab legs smelled like … windex?? Gross
Holy crow that was delicious!! Steak and crab for me and 4 types of fish and chips for my husband, AND an on the house slice of peanut butter pie to celebrate our 4 years! Yum! We’ll definitely be back!
Good for one trip only. The bottom line was that the quality of the food was good, but the quantity was severely lacking. I had the dinner fish-n-chips (halibut), 7 pcs. for $23.00 and they were the same size as my thumb (no, I’m not kidding). I have had fish-n-chips in many other restaurants and the portions are always much more than this and for a lesser price. Just not worth a second trip unless you have money to burn and the quality (not the quantity) of food is your only concern.
#1 place for us to eat in Seaside for lunch AND dinner! Lunch is fish and chips. Dinner is razor clams pan fried with extra lemons. Mondays from Nov-the end of Feb is senior Monday: half price.
