Really sad for Oregon. Went to the restaurant for my 1 year anniversary thinking it would be perfect for both food and atmosphere and I couldn’t have been more wrong. It was freezing cold the whole time and the place was practically empty which should have been my first signs. The menu sounded great from what I read online which is another reason why I though it would be great. No no no. Please fire your chefs. A sign of terrible food is the overuse of dill. It was even in the bread which was just a few cheap store bought rolls that were heated up to produce a crispy outer layer which in essence was just a huge mess of dry flakes. We ordered the bacon and bleu cheese fritters which sounded good until you bite into them and they are also full of dill flavor. Because of their limited cocktail menu with most mixed drinks consisting of the cheap Stoli vodka, I decided to play it safe and order a Bourbon on the rocks which was sadly the best part of the meal. My husband ordered their overpriced burger to which he was too sick to eat after the fritters. I ordered the Chicken cordon bleu with rice pilaf and veggies. The rice was full of celery which any good chef knows that is just a cheap filler. The chicken was breaded and stuffed with Swiss cheese and ham and topped with hollandaise sauce that contained far too much lemon juice. The chicken overall was ok, but the ham was just overload. Keep it simple. The veggies were squash and zucchini that were lazily chopped into huge pieces and thrown about on the plate, no flavor or even an attempt to pan fry or roast. Overall there is nothing special about the restaurant itself, everything is overpriced, overdone, and attempted to be overcompensated for. The chefs should hang up their toques. I could have written a better menu.
A favorite in the valley. The Oregon Garden Resort restaurant is a favorite of ours and we drive a few miles to dine here. Everything about it is special to us. The food, people, view. I hope it lasts.
Wouldn’t return. Service is so bad. Very disappointed
Took the Girls here for Mothersday brunch. Good food, the shrimp were wonderful, and good service. Good meal.
Wonderful place. What a great place to try when you’re in the area… a wonderful place to dine if you’re visiting the Oregon Garden! Delicious food and good service. We recommend it to others!
There is so much to say………… About the Oregon Garden. Their excellent restaurant is only part of it. Last November my bride and I took advantage of a package program they offer each winter. For $89 we got a very nice room at the resort, a dinner for two including a bottle of decent wine and a tour of the Oregon Garden. The food, atmosphere and service were all first rate. Although the bargain deal is only offered during the off season, right now is a great time to see the garden and have a nice meal at the lodge. It’s really one of Oregon’s show places!
