Stopped by for………… One of my rare Donut fixes today. I’m always impressed by their huge selection, quality and freshness. It doesn’t seem to matter what time of day you stop in, they got ’em and you’ll like ’em.I haven’t personally tried their Biscuits and Gravy yet, but I understand they’re very good.25 May, 2011Froyo Nation!. Daynight Donuts has added a great line of Frozen Yogurt. They have 8 flavors and 70 different toppings! Today I had Heath Toffee with Peanut Butter Cup topping. Wow! What a great creamy, healthier alternative to Ice Cream or Gelato! They also have excellent gourmet Coffee, consistently friendly service and, of course, the best Donuts in town.03 Apr, 2011Old Fashioned with Strawberry……. Icing was my pick today. SWMBO had a Plain Cake. (No imagination, that girl!) We got there too late for my usual Cake with Vanilla Icing and Rainbow Sprinkles. These folks still make Salem’s best Donuts and they’re open 24/7.02 Sep, 2010I’ve been a fan…………… Of this place for years. They were the last Dunkin’ Donuts store in Oregon before the owners decided to give up the franchise. I am speculating but, I think these master donut makers felt restricted in their creativity by chain formula recipes. I perceive an improvement in their product since their true talents have been unshackled. I’ve tried two of the other three fresh donut stores in Salem, and so far this is still my top pick.07 Jul, 2010Great Donuts!. And very good coffee. This was the old Dunkin’ Donuts which, I think, was the last remaining one in Oregon. The folks who own and run this place have been making donuts for many years. I think sticking to a franchise formula for making donuts restricted their ability to improve and enhance the quality of their product and hence the parting of the ways with Dunkin’. My take on this is a purely pedestrian observation and as such may not be accurate, but I believe I can see an improvement in taste and quality since the change. Check ’em out.
This was supposed to be the best doughnut place in Salem, meh. The doughnuts had a nice texture but they were overwhelmingly heavy/greasy. I don’t plan on going out of my way for these again.
