When I’m craving Thai this is precisely the type of restaurant I want. Delicious standard Thai. We love Pad See Ew, Basil Fried Rice and Eggplant Basil, the curries are great too. Clean and the staff are generally friendly, they do get pretty busy as I’m clearly not the only one who has clued in.
Best Thai Place in Salem!!!. Best Thai in Salem!!! True traditional Thai, a true gem!Never had a bad meal here, Pad Thai, Pad Si-Ew, Drunken Noodles, Green, Yellow and Red curries are amazing!!! My husband and I have been going here since they opened. Great service every time we visit. Truly the best.
Good food, horrible service!. I sat there for 20 mins before anyone even acknowledged me… To be seated! I have been here about 5x and haven’t gotten good service. Too bad Thai food isn’t easy to find in salem, or I would avoid this place, especially during lunch time.
Too much sugar!. I ordered pad thai and tom kah soup. Both contained so much sugar that they were inedible. There should be no perceptible sweetness in these two dishes. Will not go back.
Very happy with food and service. So I am still pretty new to the southern Asia cuisine, but definitely find I have a taste for it, so after numerous positive reviews I decided to take the girlfriend here. She also really wanted to go. The restaurant is small, but not cramped. It has a simple, but pleasant decor. Walking in, the hostess/waitress walked from the back and greeted us and sat us down. I was overwhelmed by the options I could have as the options seemed so different! They had a half dozen types of curry alone. I ended up getting a coconut curry and the girlfriend go, I forget what its called, but it looked and tasted like a spicy version of Vietnamese pho. We both ordered a Thai coffee, which I assumed was similar to Vietnamese coffee. My food arrived as a bowl of the curry and a side of rice. I mixed in some rice and took a bite and it was tasty. The curry was sweet, but had a wonderful spice to it. I’m new to the food so I could not place what it was. Normally I do not love overly sweet things for dinner, but it was still wonderful for dinner. The girlfriend’s wannabe pho was pretty good, but I prefer the Vietnamese version. However that is not a knock on their food, just a preference. The coffee as I suspected was very similar, a strong coffee mixed in with sweetened condensed milk, which I love. The great thing was we both ordered off the dinner special menu, which has a lot of options and ended up paying a little over $20.00.I was very happy overall and plan on returning.Scale 1-10Service 8Cleanliness/Decor 8Food 8
This was so good-well worth the drive from where we were staying in Portland! I ordered the chicken pad thai-I hope that they will add boba to their thai iced tea. Great service!!!
Awful service good curry. The worst service I’ve experienced in a restaurant. Soup was uneatable. Tea undrinkable. Curry was yummy. I just left there and it wasn’t busy. So no excuse for a waitress with no service and a frown.
