I’ve been here a few times and always leave satisfied, but never thrilled with my meal. They have a lot of options which is good because everyone in your group will be able to find something they like, however nothing I’ve tried on the menu has been amazing. The grilled cheese and sweet potato fries are admittedly quite good, but at $11 bucks it’s no bargain.
Not Happy. I tried these guys downtown a few years ago and swore I would never go back. I got invited so I decided to give them a second chance, gross food even if you can wade through their description of it. NEVER AGAIN FOR FOOD!!!!! Great beer selection and friendly staff don’t make a great burger or whatever it was they served me. 3 of the 6 guests with me didn’t eat their food past the first bite, and no I didn’t want a doggy bag, I like my dogs!!!!!
My husband and I tried this place on a whim and were not disappointed. Very reasonably priced beer sampler we shared. Sever very knowledgeable about beer selection and made great recommendations. Multiple vegan options for food. The vegan nachos were delish!! We will be going back.
Good late night burger. I have not always liked this place, i much prefer the downtown venue, but this is S.Salem and tastes are different.I went here tonight for a quick beer about 9 pm and noticed they had a beer and burger for $6 offer. It was a small beer but Ninkasi Triceratops and you do NOT need a lot of that beer for effect. The burger was great thick and cooked to perfection..moist in the middle and wonderfully charred on the outside..the bun was also top quality. The chips were a revelation..these are home made chips and very delicious .Good service and for a late night beer and meal hard to beat.
Second try and was underwhelmed. Noisy still! Moroccan chicken on pita was palatable. My wife’s burger was unseasoned. Won’t go back
DON’T PREORDER ANYTHING AT THE C2V!!!!!. It took quite a bit for my wife to talk me into going to Venti’s in the first place. I always thought of this as one of those hippy food places. I have had great experiences here the first couple of times here. They have great food if you order the right things and a great tap list. Well, I started running the C2V runs not too far back and the Oct 4th run was my second. This time they let you preorder your meal. I ordered what I thought was the Bouda burger which is one of two things I eat there, the other being the Hawaiian burger. I had to get my order from the bartender after the race as the waitress couldn’t take my order with the rest of my party. After twenty minutes and after everyone I was eating with was close to done our waitress looked into what was taking so long. Well my wife is a waitress and called it from across the room when she saw my order being entered into the computer for the kitchen. Ten minutes after this I receive the wrong order. It turns out what I thought I was ordering three days in advance was some hippy bean crap. Had to talk to the manager to get anything done and this was the solution: After ordering and paying for my meal three days in advance because your meal would be at a discounted price, I spent a total 50 minutes to get my order long after everyone else in my party was well done eating, took my food to go and HAD TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE TO GET WHAT I THOUGHT I ORDERED THREE DAYS EARLIER!! I will be informing every person I come in contact with about this experience and I won’t be frequenting this establishment again anytime soon. Definitely not worth your time if they are remotely busy. They have known and expected this event to be at their place of business tonight and every person working just looked like they frantic and surprised people were there.
Never Going Back. The downtown location is fabulous so a couple of us thought we’d try the South Commercial location. Guess what? We have never received such bad service! It was pretty quiet the night we went so it was inexcusable to be ignored by the wait staff like that. That, and when I asked to see the paper copy of the beer offerings I was told they didn’t have those – so why was I able to find one on an adjoining table? I paid for our drinks and we walked out. I recommend the downtown location but not this place. They only want to serve you here if you’re male, under 30 and seated in the main dining area off to the right. NEVER let them seat you by the bathrooms, that’s a sign to walk out!
