Love this place! I am totally addicted. What do I love here? The shrimp pancakes are amazing, the giant fresh soft Korean style tacos are to die for and then put on her aioli sauce, yum! Each week she has specials and those are often fabulous as well. I am dying for her to bring back the buffalo chicken sub, omg, wonderful, amazing, stupendous! I ate there three days in a row when she had it this was so good.So give this place a try for fresh tasty food you will be glad you did.
Molly’s is one of favorite Salem dining spots, providing innovative, delicious and healthy food at reasonable prices. For lunch, I went with the weekly special, a turkey wrap served with chips and a drink, a good value at $7. The wrap was fresh and delicious. And as always, Mollybwas her fun and vivacious self. We’ll certainly be back.27 Mar, 2013Wonderful, fresh and flavorful. My friends and I made a return trip to Vivacious Molly’s, now at a few blocks south of their original spot. Again, I went with the three taco plate, and had one of each option: Beef Bulgogi, Molly’s Chicken and Spicy Pork. That spicy pork really does live up to it’s billing as spicy! All 3 are just super. This plate provides a great mix of flavors and it’s all great and fresh – and if you’re like me, you might end up eating dinner a little late as this is really a full lunch. The weather was a little iffy today – the truck does have an awning with 4 chairs sitting below it, but rather than sit there, we ate in my minivan. I’ll certainly be back as there are many other items on the menu that I would love to try.26 Jul, 2012New to me…. …and delicious. My friends and I made a lunch stop at Vivacious, a food truck located in the parking lot of the Freshmart store (between Salem Pediatric and Providence Home Medical). It was a beautiful day to try my first ever Korean taco…or three. I selected the three taco plate, choosing two Beef Bulgogi (asian marinated beef, fresh cabbage, kimchi, marinated cucumber, spicy sauce, cilantro, lime) and one spicy pork taco (shredded marinated pork, fresh cabbage, kimchi, marinated cucumber, cilantro, lime.) They’re served street style in two corn tortillas. Fresh and delicious – a great mix of flavors. The service was also fast and friendly. There’s a covered table there so we were able to sit in the shade and enjoy a nice lunch. I’ll be back as I’d love to try the lettuce wraps, and green onion pancakes, among other items.
Great Pastrami Reuben. I returned to Vivacious Molly’s today and had a great Pastrami Reuben – the weekly special. You really can’t beat it for 5 bucks (chips included). In talking with Molly, she mentioned that this location is becoming her permanent location! No more searching to find her. This is great news!10 May, 2013What a treat!. Vivacious Molly’s was sure worth the little bit of a treasure hunt I had to conquer to find the new place (apparently I went to the old place first). It’s sad that Salem is so hostile to food trucks. She has to move every 6 months. :(Molly serves up fresh and flavorful food that’s definitely what I’m looking for. I had a Spicy Pork Taco that was loaded with cabbage/slaw with the sauce on the side. It was definitely spicy and full of flavor.I also had the Hawaiian Vegetarian Wrap with Chips. For me, this was the highlight. The tofu had been marinated and the whole thing was full of flavors.Molly is definitely doing something right here and her food trailer is worth a visit. I will definitely be back.
Molly’s new location…….. Is, predictably, working out much better for her. This was my first visit to the new digs. I went for the three Taco plate. ($8) The Meat choices were: Beef Bulgogi (thin strips of Korean Marinated Steak), Molly’s Chicken (Breast Meat done in a unique and wonderful Marinate) and Spicy Pork (twice cooked and shredded). All three come with Cabbage, Kim chi, Pickled Cucumbers, Carrots, Cilantro and Lime. I had one of each. It was a delicious and filling lunch.Be sure to ask for Molly’s Hot Sauce. Don’t be fooled by its benign Fry Sauce appearance. It’s got plenty of zip! It reminds me of something you might find at a Sushi place. She has provided a few plastic patio chairs, but no tables. I pressed the trunk lid of my car into service for an eating surface. If you haven’t tried Vivacious Molly’s you’re in for a treat unlike any you’ve experienced before. Her cuisine transcends Korea-Mex fusion into something quite apart from the ordinary.11 Jun, 2012Unique and good!. I don’t know who came up Korean-Mexican fusion, but I’m likin’ it!SWMBO and I tried this great food trailer today. She had a Bulgogi Lettuce Wrap with Steamed White Rice. I had two Bulgogi Tacos and one Spicy Pork Taco. Each meal was $8.00. (One at a time, the Tacos are $3.00) I’ve never had anything quite like these. I’m an instant fan. They were double Corn Tortilla wrapped and loaded with Meat, Shredded Cabbage, Julienned Carrots and Cilantro. Molly provides a pink, creamy Sauce on the side. What this stuff presents to the eye belies what it proves on the tongue. It’s very spicy. I loved it. The Marinate on the Beef was very flavorful. The Shredded Spicy Pork was like a cross between Carnitas and Pulled Pork. Molly has a table and chairs on the end of her trailer for those who would like to lunch in the fresh air and sunshine. And Bush Park is less than a mile away. She uses biodegradable containers for those to whom such things matter.Check this out. You’ll be glad you did.Note: She’s only open 11 AM to 3 PM Monday through Thursday.
