VERY DISAPPOINTING! First of all the service was great and very professional! BUT… We could not get past the extremely slow dinner service, very small portions for extremely high prices and the food was on the cold side…but the presentation was excellent.Even though I am giving it a poor review… The place was jammed packed! Is it the only game in town? I personally do not plan on giving this establishment any more of my hard earned after tax dollars! You may feel differently! On an upbeat note… The three piece band they had in the bar… Was great!
Loved The 3 Course Lunch!. Today my daughter and I enjoyed a nice lunch at Jory after visiting the spa @ The Allison Inn & Spa. We dined out on the terrace, I had the 3 course lunch with was a chilled cantaloupe soup, strawberry arugula salad and a small prime rib sandwich. Two tastes of different wines went nicely with our meal. :)25 Jul, 2011Sunday Supper Was Super!. Last night we dined at Jory @ the Allison Inn & Spa, this was our second time here. On Sunday evenings they offer a 3 course meal for $35/pp. We had the Chilled Crab Soup, the Prime Rib with German Potato Salad and Spinach Salad and a wonderful Mascarpone with lots of Fresh Berries for dessert. Everything we tasted was delicious and our service was attentive, friendly and first-class. Love Jory! :)20 Jul, 2011Excellence In The Wine Country!. We stayed at The Allison Inn & Spa and enjoyed appetizers, dinner and breakfast at Jory. Everytning we had was delicious and of the finest quality. This is one of the Oregon wine country’s finest venues. 🙂
The best there is in fine dining. Enjoyed the dining room, bar and room service. Unique menu, beautiful presentation. The food is worth every penny. Loved wine tasting with the bartenders in the bar! And you didn’t have to drink and drive!
Fantastic food paired with unbelievably good service. Here’s an example how good the service was: they coordinated with housekeeping so that our rose-pedal bath was ready in our room after the dessert course. Details like that turn a great experience into an unforgettable one.
A perfect 10 in a sea of Mediocrity. Finally! A high end restaurant that delivers on what they promise. All I ever want from a restaurant is to give me what they claim to have. There are numerous eateries in the Portland Metro area that promise a 5 star meal and service and deliver a 1 star performance.Jory will not disappoint you, they deliver exactly what they claim, namely a 5 star dinning experience crafted and served by A-1 professionals. My wife and I spent/ celebrated our 5th anniversary at the Allison resort & spa.The architecture, design and decor are impressive and done with class, style and aplomb. You will be visually fed here as the art work is world class. The spa is top notch with only the highest marks from both my wife and myself. We started our dinner with perfectly made cocktails served by a consumatte pro.Appetizers were a blend of delicous meats and pickled local vegies. Then a simple yet perfect green salad with a perfectly made dressing.Entree’s; Prime Rib with Polenta, this was the first Portland restaurant that made the Polenta properly. My wife had a fantastic scallop dish. The dessert menu was creative and tempting, we had their awesome caramel bread pudding. Our waiter was a true pro as was his assistant, they knew the art of waiting on a table. They were attentive without being intusive, funny without being obnoxious. We had Sunday brunch after a stay in a room that can only be described as majestic. They have thought of every detail here.Brunch was also amazing. I even spotted Gertie Boyle having brunch with her son and family, so that speaks to the level of client this outstanding resort attracts.Jory knows what they are doing and I highly endorse it.As for you pretentious, mediocre restaurants posing as a 5 star? Please come here and learn a thing or two.
Been there three times for lunch. They have a great lamb sandwich. Their bread has the best texture and flavor. It has surprising good views of Newberg.
So nice for so many situations. I’ve been with a large group in the back room, dinner in the dining room and a nice lunch at the kitchen bar. Oregon friendly, Oregon casual and great food!
