C. Ray. This was a completely satisfying dining experience in every way. The atmosphere is Victorian somewhat, with low lighting and candles everywhere. Wonderfully romantic. The service was outstanding and our waiter couldn’t have been nicer or more knowledgeable explaining each and every item on our plates as well as the various wines that were paired with each course.The food was outstanding. I had the dry aged steak and it was so tender it almost melted in my mouth. We were all wonderfully sated even before the dessert course, but of course found room for the cheesecake with huckleberries and the trio of chocolates. I would highly recommend this as one of the best restaurants in this area.
Superb rolled veal with stuffing made with foie gras. The sweetbreads were cooked to perfection adding a crunchy texture. Entire meal rivaled any Michelin 2-3 star in a laid back restored home in a unassuming location. Definitely worth a ride. Well thought out, fairly priced wine list.

Exceptional!. If you don’t recognize this as one of the top restaurants in the country, you haven’t dined anywhere special in the past 20 years! What makes this restaurant so outstanding isn’t just the consistently delicious and inspired meals, or the sophisticated yet unfussy menu options, but the lack of pretention surrounding it. They make anyone feel welcome yet pampered. And if you don’t understand wines or what they can bring to the meal, they help you. However, the food stands alone; like a great movie, you find yourself thinking about the wonderful dishes long after you have left the table.
Potato Gnocchi with Oregon Black Truffle. This is the BEST Gnocchi you can find. It’s light and full of amazing flavor! The seasonal mushrooms that are constantly changing make for an ever changing spice of new tastes!
We have eaten here often and have always loved the food, the cozy, sophisticated yet comfortable atmosphere and superb service.
