A three and half hour dining adventure with impeccable and attentive service. The restaurant serves a 10 course fixed menu that they modified for our pescatarian dining friends. We also did the wine pairings which was very enjoyable. I love to taste lots of flavors and you will get this, but for some of the courses I wanted more than a taste. The food is plated beautifully. My favorite dishes were the Miso Custard with Crab, the Potato Gnocchi, the cheese plate and the apple cider ice. The atmosphere is lovely with the candlelight and white tablecloths.
Romantic Dinner. Finally got the chance to go to Newberg and try this highly recommended restaurant, and it lives up to the recommendations. Love the space – beautifully renovated home. We were set in the Private dining room upstairs – the brown color of the walls was nice, but seemed to make the room a little dark. I highly recommend using the large bathroom upstairs – cool space. The service was impeccable and very curious. I love staff that are intimate with the food preparation and what the influence of the chef staff have on the menu. We were there for Valentine’s Day and the prefix menu was superb. Some of the stand outs in my mind were the tortellini and rabbit, the pistachio encrusted smoked filet mignon. The meal was perfect.I recommend trying the pimento ginger beer Moscow mule cocktail – very nice. We will definitely be returning for another memorable night out.
Awesome!. No grass fed beef!!! Really painted lady?? I drove from Eugene today and saw grass fed cows!! What a shame.Chef trio….Salmon on cucumber was good.Chilled butternut squash soup was awesome.Potato croquette on pesto was great.Second course…Miso Custard with dashi broth. – fantastic!Edamame, lotus.Third course…Gnocchi, beurre blanc, Parmesan crisp, prosciutto… Mushrooms. Excellent.Fourth course…Seared scallop with duck confit. Butternut squash and Pinot noir gastrique. Wow.Fifth course…Pork tenderloin. Date sauce. Brussels. Applewood smoke in dome. Delish and just the right sizeSixth course… Cheese. Good. Raw cow milk cheese. Quince, nuts, pear… Side of crostini.Palate cleanser… Citrus and something bitter slushie… Yuk.Dessert…Peaches with champagne and chvrePana cotta with crumbleSorbet (ber sweet)Apple mascarpone tart (ber sweet)Attentive staff and overall well paced. Interesting decor, set in old house. Decor feels old/dated but that is really the look they are going for. Sort of reminds me of the mansion in savannah or other boutique hotel. Mostly older crowd. Could easily hear conversations at other tables. Fantastic meal. Great service. No complaints.
