Mothra Says….Just Fair Pizza.. OK you have all seen the commercial. What a deal right? On a Monday evening and just not in the mood to fix dinner (a rare moment actually), I called up Dominos to try one of their 3 topping large specials. I chose my regular: pepperoni, mushroom, black olive. Picked it up, brought it home and K made a couple of home house salads. I opened a bottle of wine and dinner was set.Ummmm, ok, this is not a bad pizza. And I do understand how I just phrased that prior sentence. It is an ok pizza and especially for $7.99. A bit short on the toppings, mushrooms rather small, black olives were scarce, the pepperoni ovals rather tiny. The sauce was too herby and fragrant. I think the sauce and the crust were over-seasoned frankly. Again, for $7.99, not too bad, not too good. Despite the commercial, I am positive Dominos is still making a profit on this pizza and this deal. Overall though, no, just an average pizza. Mothra says fair deal for the price. 2.6 of 5.0
