I came with higher expectation as it was on my wish list. Got the pastrami and, as noted by another reviewer, very light in the meat. Also ordered the spicy sausage which was better but the potatoe salads (tried both kinds) were not that great. All in all, it’s okay but a 2/5 rating means no need to come back.
A little light on the Pastrami. Based on the other reviews, my friend and I had lunch at the Original Bavarian today. He had the smoked sausage and said it was great. I ordered the Pastrami sandwich which came with very little meat in proportion to the size of the bun. If I ever go back, I will make sure to order one of the the German menu items which is this restaurant’s specialty.
Stopped in for lunch. Not crowded but a steady stream of customers. Wife had potato soup and it was good not a cream base but lots of potatoes with sausage in there. I had sausage sandwich with the beer braut. Loved it. We had two desserts from the case. They were great and I’m sure non fattening (not). Great spot.
Authentic. I used to live in Germany and this place makes me feel like I’m back there. If they’d open a restaurant with schnitzel and spaetzle and brat kartoffeln, I’d be the happiest woman in the whole world.
The best sausages, potato salad, sauerkraut, and all other things German. This is the place to get great German and Bavarian beer. Just Awesome!
