Great food with even better service!. It is hands down the best large restaurant food I’ve had. That, however, is nothing compared to the service. To be in any restaurant – much less a large operation like Claim Jumper – where the manager knows every employee from the wait staff to the dishwashers is remarkable and sadly an anomaly. Other restaurants would be well served to follow this manager’s style and policies. In addition, once again this evening we were not disappointed with the food as we had a party of six with two appetizers and different entrees. All were excellent and were only topped by the chocolate cake Claim Jumper is known for. I recommend this particular Claim Jumper to all our friends.
Delivered Claim. So I order from the delivered dish quite frequently. My hubs and I have never tried claim jumpers and thought we would. I have never had food arrive COLD, undercooked, and bland. It was a trifecta of yuck. Not even my kiddos would eat the pizza. The prices were expensive. Maybe we should have gone in for the experience, but even then ordering out delivered dish usually brings me food fresh no probs in temp tastes great, decent packaging. I was highly disappointed and will probably avoid it. My husbands meat loaf was cold and soggy, the veggies bland. My bread was hard and chewy, the butter was already solid. Even the way it was packaged it tasted more like a hungry man.
Not Impressed. Maybe it was the time of day we went but we were definitely not impressed. We went for an early dinner around 3. My mom’s boyfriend ordered the Pot Pie and had no complaints but his hot chocolate was luke warm; my mom ordered the beef tips w/veggies, the veggies were mostly cold and sitting in like 2 tablespoons of butter, eww. I ordered the house salad, which was clearly not fresh, the lettuce was limp; it came with a cold piece of bread with cold cheese on it, not good. My husband ordered the fish and chips and the fish looked and tasted like it had been fried and then re-fired to heat it back up, not edible. Very disappointing especially for those prices.
Bad service, bad food. Appetizer was bland. Soup and salad came to the table while we were just barely getting started on the appetizer, and then dinner came about 2 minutes after that. So, we ate our appetizer while we watched our soup, and our dinners get cold. Upon leaving, we were both sick to our stomachs, to the point that one of us had to run back inside to use the bathroom in a hurry. Enough said!
I have nothing good to say about our experience here. Bad service, horrible presentation, the salads were wilted, and food was barely palitable. The veggies were swimming in a stick of butter and there was a sauce on my fish that wasn’t even listed on the menu. Very disappointing.
Enjoyable. It had been over a decade since my wife and I had been to a Claim Jumper so we were a little leary of going with a couple relatives who highly recommended it. We were glad they convinced us to go. The relatives shared Hickory Chicken, which was new to them. I had a Tri-Tip Dip sandwich and my wife tried the seasonal special, Drunk Chicken (two chicken breasts with Vodka Cream sauce and bacon over potato pancakes). I thought the sandwich was very good but everyone who had chicken thought their food excellent. We all shared a red velvet cupcake for dessert.. Jim, our server, was great. We will definitely keep Claim Jumper on our list for repeats.
Thank you. The manager fixed my salad to my liking. Cudos to good service!
