Claim Jumper has been advertising on the local I Heart radio station $5 margaritas for the entire month of February. My buddy and I decided to go there in Tualatin for a drink. We like to try out new places in the area. The two bartenders told us the margaritas were $6, even during happy hour. They said that I was wrong, Claim Jumper does not advertise on the radio and they would not honor my request for a $5 margarita. I know one dollar is no big deal, but it was their attitude that pissed me off. They basically called me a liar. I spoke with the manager yesterday. He also didn’t know that they advertised margaritas for $5. He did say if he was serving me he would have honored my request. He said he would have the general manager call me and they would try to make up the mistake to me. That didn’t happen. He probably didn’t even tell her. To me the dollar is no big deal, it was their attitude, and calling me a liar to my face. Not good. By the way, the $6 margarita I had tasted good, but it was very small and it was 90 per cent ice. I think their beer was like $6.75. I told the manager I was going to write a bad review and he said feel free to. This place sucks. As a side note, the owner of Claim Jumper is probably the largest private owner of restaurants in the U.S. His name is Tilman Fertitta. I know he would be very upset if he knew his employees acted like they did to me.
