Nice location, nice view. That’s about it. Go for drinks, don’t eat! I have lived 2 blocks from Hayden’s for 7 years and we have given them many chances. Nothing ever changes. It’s always the same greasy, stale, overpriced food! Always! And the service is almost always bad. There is a funky smell inside the restaurant. I will never understand why they cannot overhaul this place, bring in new management and a new chef. The location is so great. The food is just really, really bad.
Dinner was AWESOME!!! I had the cioppino. The seafood was fresh, plentiful, and the broth was very well seasoned! I’ve had cioppino in San Francisco, and Hayden’s was better than what I’ve had in SF. We had Mother’s Day brunch there last year and the selections were plentiful, fresh and tasty. Worth the money! 😀
Atmosphere & service indoors & out is great. It just plain works whether January or July. I wouldn’t eat here for dinner… Maybe lunch. The prices just don’t justify what you receive. HOWEVER, their happy hour rivals the best in the deep southwest with great tasting bang for the buck on most anything on the HH menu. It’s really the only way to dine here. And, you’ll be treated like you’re eating dinner almost every time. I like it, not love it. It’s a great HH fallback whenever a revisit is needed 🙂
