Yummy food and amazing pastries! We had breakfast and everyone enjoyed their coffee, morning cocktail and entree. We sat outside so it was chilly but the people watching and the company made it bearable. During breakfast the side window next to our seats opened up like a garage door, which was cool. We felt like part of the inside. Place was busy with locals so we made the right choice to try it.
The place was the only restaurant that was open and it was pretty slow when we came in. One side of the restaurant is for pastries which looked so temptingly good and the other side a small sit down dining area. We told them there was 15 of us and they seemed not please for some reason. Maybe because they wanted to leave early. I don’t know. But they were still nice so I didn’t mind. The croissants came with some of the meals and they were pretty darn good. Wouldn’t mind coming back here whenever we are back in town.
We strictly ordered pastries to go, so nothing savory or any drinks can be commented upon. We thought the almond croissant, the chocolate croissant and a few other similar pastries were not very flaky and light, and lacked enough filling. So you wind up eating a lot of breadiness in most bites, with a smattering of almond or chocolate here or there. Not quite as enjoyable as the French bakeries on the east coast. Loved the decor and it looks like a fun place to sit and have a coffee.just now report edit Like delete
Customer Service?. As someone who has frequented this restaurant since 2006, I am surprised by my recent experience here. I recently hosted a French themed Bridal Shower and decided crepes would be a great touch. We were looking to feed 40 people so my fiance called to see if Petite Provence would be able to help. A chef quoted $40 for 75 plain crepes. All we needed was the crepes without any filling or anything so this was just for a stack of crepes. He called and told me the quote and said I needed to call to confirm pick up details. I called the next day to confirm all the details and no one knew what I was talking about. No one had written down any details so it was a good thing I had called back to make sure everything was in order. The woman sounded flustered and asked who he had gotten the quote from and if she could call me back. I wasn’t feeling hopeful but I said yes. The woman finally got back to me and said that all quotes are supposed to go through the head chef or the manager and this one had not so it could not be honored. I said I was shocked and frustrated that the quote was not going to stand. The woman sounded shocked and appalled herself and told me she would feel that same way if this had happened to her. I asked to speak to the manager. She wasn’t working until the next day and was supposed to call me then. I did not hear from her until 2 days later. Emily, the manager came across as unfriendly and confrontational from the beginning and told me she would not honor the quote for 75 plain crepes for $40 but would make 75 crepes for $75, a discount from the usually price of $1.50 per crepe. When I called her back I let her know how disappointed I was at the costumer service I was receiving and said I understood that the quote was low compared to their cost but that I felt they should honor what I was told in the first place. Rather than going back on their word, I believe the chef who made the bad call should have made things right. Restaurants get business through word of mouth and I have already told many people about their bad customer service. I can no longer recommend this restaurant. I scrambled to find someone else to provide crepes for the party and was fortunate to do so, no thanks to them.Sincerely,Bummed About Management
Super yummy love everything ive gotten!!
You can tell the food would be good but my husband and I wouldn’t know. Waited a half hour on a monday for a table at lunch. When they finally sat us and we took off our jackets and a sip of water to settle in, they actually asked us to get up and continue waiting because they meant to give our table to someone else. That has to be some of the worst service we’ve ever experienced. Hopefully they get organized soon because that restaurant and its customers deserve much better.
Nice dessert choices. Killer green salad (for on the side). Nice tuna melt. Hella good service. Food comes quick and good relaxing music.
