Great pulled pork, brisket, and Mac n cheese! The house sauces are fantastic too. The drink selection was on par with any other Portland eatery…wonderful. Will definitely be back
Smoked pork, corn bread, mac, glazed butternut squash, and a beer. Amazing. There was an error in our order initially, rectified by quickly providing food and discount. Love this place.
Great food rude people that aren’t very flexible. The staff all seem new and did not like that we wanted to sit before our entire party arrived. They threw a fit and looked and snickered at their cashier station.
Podnah’s Pit is good! The portions were ample, and the quality of the food was excellent. Also liked the variety of side choices. Though I did have a few complaints. The house BBQ sauce just isn’t that good; it’s a bit watery and too vinegary for my taste. Also my brisket seems to have had much of its fat removed, which is a sort of heresy. I’ll come back again if I’m in the area, but my favorite Oregon BBQ remains the same: Papa’s Soul Food in Eugene.
REVIEW!!! Molto carne! Amazing. All amazing. The ribs were incredible beyond words!!! Highly highly recommended. The sampler plate is the way to go, plus iced sweet tea!
Wow ! Saturday night, get the smoked prime rib ! The smoked trout was great too. Great sides, lots of flavor, the black eyed pea side is spicey. New favourite place to eat ! Thank You ! 🙂
Rack of Ribs. L’m a Texan & without a doubt, Podnah’s has the best genuine Texas-style ribs in Portland. The rack is always a full one – a generous amount of meaty, perfectly rubbed and smoked ribs with an unmistakable texture that is Texas-style all the way. These are the kind of ribs that are delicious with or without sauce and if you know how to eat them (Texas style), all that will be left are clean, totally stripped of meat, bones. If you really want Texas-style barbecue ribs, Podnah’s is tonly game in town.
