Meh. Grabbed a slice of the salted butter caramel apple pie and coconut cream. I didn’t taste much of the salted butter caramel in the pie, and the coconut cream had WAAAY too much whip cream, not enough custard. Had a feeling the pies were not baked that day as well as the crust was pretty soft (bought in afternoon, had for dessert after dinner). Unlikely to go back.

Cream pies are yum! Almost too much cream to pie ratio. Almost. It I’d called a ‘cream’ pie for a very specific reason afterall. The crust is thick and crispy/flaky, which I find to be very fitting for pie. Go w your gut instinct on flavor, almost too many choices (sweet & savory). Ok. I obviously enjoy eating pie. Now, stop reading reviews and go have some freaking pie already. ;D

Good Coffee, Great Pastries. Random Order was a place that I stopped in at on a whim and I am very glad that I did! The shop is quirky and fun, perfectly fitting for its location on Alberta. They have fairly good coffee that is prepared very well by knowledgeable and semi-hipster baristas (or is the plural baristi?). Anyway, the pies alone are worth the trip here. Nothing will ever beat my own mother’s pie, but their pies are a close second. They have an excellent selection, with vegetarian and vegan options among their pastries. A very good location to meet up with friends and enjoy a great, local coffee shop.
