I’m always a little scared to eat at a Mexican food place that has a non-Latino name, but this place totally dispelled my fear. Great variety of drinks and food. Excellent tastes and artful presentation. Service was prompt and friendly, making folks feel welcome and appreciated. Great Bethany location.
Que Bien! This could be the BEST Mexican food in Portland! Outstanding food, good service. Try the mole, or the chicken cream chipotle sauce dish with mushroom on rice- incredible! Fair prices, good ‘Rita’s and beer. Decor and ambiance just ok but who cares when it tastes this good.
Well, well, well, this was an interesting find. If you are looking for standard tacos and refried beans, don’t stop here. If you are looking for great food with some different flavors, then stop by. I had the coconut chicken with mango. The expected mango salsa was really almost like pudding, and it was chilled. Fantastic contrast to the hot chicken. Loved this dish. Wife had the shrimp with butter. Again great dish, shrimp cooked correctly and lots of flavor. Desert was a churro with Carmel, we almost licked the plate. This is a place to go back and explore the menu.
My family visits this restraunt regularly and is on the top of our Favorite’s List! The service is fantastic and there are great deals during Happy Hour. Highly recommended and praised. Allan’s is AWESOME!!!!!
