Food was average to poor quality. Expected more from a place on the coast. Service was more or less non exsistent. Place needs some help with atmosphere. Would likely not return.

If you’re looking for modern and fancy, this may not be the place for you but if you are looking for a good homey seafood meal in a comfortable atmosphere this could be the spot. The decor was pretty dated and the staff seemed a bit tense tho our waitress was friendly. The Christmas music made it fun! Kid friendly, fairly quick, and value friendly for the food and area. We ordered the halibut and prawns & scallops, we were both very pleased with our meals and got out under $40.

I am shocked to see such a poor rating on here as our experience was outstanding.Had dinner. Clams and beer batter cod. It was some of the best seafood I had that trip! The service was fast, friendly. But the appearance and taste of the food was great.I note that many of the poor reviews are from breakfast. Different cook and staff for morning perhaps

Meh. Ordered off the sauted menu and everything came breaded. Sent it back and when it returned my 2 tiny shrimp and 4 baby scallops were floating in a sea of some sort of bland butter sauce. Filet was way over cooked. $25 better spent on groceries at Safeway.

Breakfast special $3.95 for 2 pancakes, 2 bacon & 2 eggs. Nice portions, friendly service and a good deal.

Stay away. My family and I stopped at Dory Cove for lunch today and to say it was subpar is being kind. We had clam chowder to start. It had lumps of doughy flour in it and we were hard pressed to find many clams in the mess a far cry from the bold claim of best clam chowder on the coast. The halibut fish and chips which werent cheap ($20 for 3 pieces) were terrible with thick hard bready batter and very little fish. The service was wasnt very good either unfortunately. In addition to a few other mishaps, we had to call back our waiter, who had walked away after serving our food, to ask for the very basics…cutlery. I have very fond memories of going to the old Dory Cove restaurant at Road’s end as a kid and we stopped at the new one today because they were trading on the old name, but that will only work once. If you also have fond memories of the old place do yourself a favor and keep them in the past and dont eat at Dory Cove.

Unless you’re looking for a below average meal, pass this place by. Just because there are a lot of cars there doesn’t mean the food is good, just that there is no shortage of people who have bad taste. The clan chowder taste like it’s out of a Hungry Man can and any fish that isn’t deep fried is old and rubbery. If your looking for seafood, you ‘ll be disappointed-keep driving.
