Ordered my regular lunch today which I order multiple times a week I usually spend over $100 a week at this restaurant. Today my broccoli chicken was wrong it was pasty and under flavoured. I’m not normally one to complain or some things back but it was so terrible I had to drive back to the restaurant when I got there I was made to sit for 5 minutes while the owner of valuated my complaint screamed at his wait staff and then she came out to explain to me that I wasn’t getting my lunch or my money back I explained to her that this is not how you treat regulars this is not how you treat neighbors and this is not how you treat customers. I hope nobody has a problem with their food here because then when she went back to tell him that that’s not how you treat people he screamed it or for another five minutes before telling me that I don’t get my food or my money back. This used to be a good restaurant. Apparently now it’s run by a selfish person and I hope it goes out of business sooner rather than later so I can start enjoying Chinese food in my neighborhood again. These folks were getting well over two to $300 a month from me plus referrals. I will never set foot in there again after witnessing this boorish and horrible behavior.

Greatly improved IMHO. Had not been to this place for some time, but stopped in one night for shrimp egg foo young and found it to be good. Since then, have gotten one of their combinations and it was fresh, had lots of variety, and enough food for 2 people or 2 meals. Yes, they do make the old-fashioned shrimp egg rolls and they were nice–not quite the level of the late Louie’s Village in Eugene, but pretty good. Today, got a $6.95 lunch special with cashew shrimp, steamed rice, spring rolls, and a won ton. No soup with to go orders but that’s fine. I asked them not to put in bamboo shoots or water chestnuts and was very happy with the mix of zucchini, celery, and mushrooms. Okay, they forgot the cashews but I was still very pleased and the portion was plenty. Obviously freshly cooked too. Worth a try–my experience was much better than some of the other reviews and we plan to keep trying some other dishes.

What a shame!. This place use to be fantastic. It changed ownership in 2013 and wow, did it plummet! We have family reunions annually in Lincoln City and I always looked forward to eating at Foon Hing Yuen. This past summer we went and it was terrible. I even went back a second time to give them another chance and it was awful. The place had been for sale for sometime, every year when we would return I would always wonder if it had been sold…. well, this last time it happened. The guy that owned it before owned it for a really long time and wanted to retire. He was an amazing chef! Everything that he made was unbelievably good and creative. The ingredients were always fresh and the versions of his plates were really good, Cantonese I think. It really was a great place to eat, one of my all time favorite Asian restaurants. It’s a shame, it really is terrible food now. I always wondered, when it sold, if they would pass on their recipes. Well, the verdict is in and THEY DEFINITELY DID NOT!

Had better Chineese food from a can. Nothing was fresh, and only one vegitarian option on the menu. You would be better off going to Safeway.
