Clean, Friendly & Affordable. Nothng fancy but Clean, overly Friendly and Affordable with no waiting. :)Had the Eggs Benedict with dungeness crab & fruit. Fresh crab, fresh fruit and the poached egg was done perfectly. As to the hollandaise… ok not like mine but it all went down and felt yummy in my tummy. 🙂
Good free and gluten free options. This restaurant offers gluten free pancakes, french toast, toast and fish & chips. The food was good, staff were friendly and service was good. It’s nice to find a restaurant that offers several different gluten free options
Clean and pleasant environment with attentive, friendly wait staff. Food was delicious but over priced for the quantity served.
Suprised. Delightfully so!. As someone with Celiac disease for 12 years, I am used to walking into restaurants and not having especially high expectations on what I will be able to eat. When it comes to diners and down home style restaurants I generally get a blank stare when I mention a gluten allergy and when I eat, cross my fingers that I won’t get sick in the next few hours. Not so here! I planned on ordering an omelet and have learned to ask if they added pancake batter to the eggs. I explained my allergy and the waitress said, well, you know we have gluten free toast, pancakes, and french toast, right? NO I DID NOT! On that visit I had the french toast because it seemed like such a luxury to order that in a restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. A few months later my fiance and I went back and I tried their pigs in a blanket, gluten free style. Let me tell you, I CRAVE these pancakes now. They are light and fluffy with just the right amount of chewiness and sweetness and I could eat them all the time! Thank goodness we don’t live anywhere near this place! When I mentioned how much I loved them to another waitress, she said they worked on the recipe for months and months and that most of the staff there actually prefers the gluten free pancakes to their regular ones! Great job, Pig N Pancake!
Gluten free friendly! I enjoyed French toast, made with gluten free bread! Everything was delicious and I would definitely come back!
Rob. Your average run of the mill breakfast spot. Food was good and so was service. Very institutionalized. The major downside to this place was the seating. It felt as if you were having a meal with the table next to you. Overall it was an OK place. I will give it a single thumbs up, but would not return. It would be a spot to take the kids and family, but not if you want to have a quiet breakfast.
Loved Their Crepes. Try them, you will like them— ! We Love the Pig N Pancake in Astoria as well. Great Place for Big Familiesand Kids! Very Welcoming-
