Well, how about that?. I have to say my expectations were not very high for what is, for all intents and purposes, a cafeteria for state workers. I walked around and looked it over. They had a good looking and well stocked Salad Bar. The hot dishes were steam table stuff. I asked if their Burgers were pre-formed Patties. They were. I ordered a Hot Beef Sandwich lunch. ($6, I think)I watched the young man halve two slices of White Bread. He then started piling on big, but thin, slices of Roast Beef. About the time I thought he should be about done, he put on that much again! He capped it with one of the half Bread Slices, scooped me up a generous helping of REAL Mashed Potatoes and drenched the whole thing with Gravy!Much to my astonishment, this was a better than average Hot Beef Sandwich!Just as with most cafeteria style places, you buss your own table and deposit your tray, plate, glass and silverware in their respective receptacles and off you go.Note: The chairs are comfortable, but the bottom of the backrest is just high enough to hook over your beltline. When you stand up, the chair tends to come with you. If you can picture me standing up and trying to shake a chair off my butt, you wouldn’t be far wrong! My adventures are endless.
