Another Salem BBQ Option!. THIS TRUCK CHANGES LOCATIONS FREQUENTLY. CALL BEFORE DRIVING!Eagerly stopped by today.I met Chad’s daughter, Vanessa, who gave me the rundown on family’s life-long love of BBQ. All the Meat served comes out of Chad’s custom smoker the day it’s served. None of the smoke-it-on-saturday-and-nuke-it-all-week nonsense that Salem’s darling has been foisting upon us for ages. Today’s menu featured Pulled Pork (my choice), Pastrami, Smoked Chicken and Double Smoked Sausage. Several proprietary Sides were available. I picked the Baked Beans which were smoky and delicious. My Pulled Pork Sandwich was moist, tender and flavorful. It was served on an Onion Roll and was very good. Chad offers a couple of BBQ Sauces and a brace of Mustards. I thought the Bourbon BBQ Sauce was perfect. (Vinegary, mustardy, molassesy and not too sweet)Chad, for now, only does Ribs for catered events, but they may be available in his nomadic lunch truck in the future. We can only hope!A new BBQ addition in a town with a paucity of places and a real dearth of good ones can only be a very good thing. Let’s give ’em our support. I think you’ll like ’em.
