A group of six of us went to Cinebarre last night for dinner and the new Star Wars movie. From the start, the experience was a disaster. There was obviously not enough staff working, as we waited outside the theater for more than 45 minutes waiting for them to clean it.Once seated, we discovered that the temperature inside was arctic. Absolutely freezing. We had to wear our winter coats.Once the server finally showed up to take our order, upon attempting to place it, we were informed that they were out of CO2 so there were no soft drinks whatsoever, and they had no french fries. So after placing amended orders, we sat back to watch the movie and wait for our food. And wait. And wait. The movie showtime was 7:40 pm. We finally got our food, after having to ask for it, at 9:30. Absolutely unacceptable. It was obvious that my and my fiance’s burgers had been sitting for an extended period of time, as they were stone cold. Instead of sliders, I had cold, miniature, charcoal hockey pucks on dried out buns. My daughter’s burger didn’t come at all, and when she inquired, she was informed that it was too late and they would not be making it for her. My fiance’s son ordered a small pizza, and got two, but not until after we were informed that they ran out of pizza sauce and had to heat (?) more. Despite repeated requests, he never could get his water.Going to dinner and the movies is expensive. Save yourself the aggravation and spend your money wisely by staying far, far away from Cinebarre when you have a night out.
Slow service and over priced but where else can you have a drink at the movies.
Very Spendy. Pros: Love the vintage movie posters and decor, and $5 Tuesdays (for any movie) are awesome! Good alternative to Northern Lights if you don’t want to wait to see a new movie.Cons: SPENDY!! Be willing to drop an arm and a leg on below average food and beverages. I really enjoy their thin and crispy fries, but their prices are consistently high, especially for their beverages. Definitely not worth the price. Like other users have said, I would much rather wait a little bit and get a Redbox and not have to compromise on food.
Great concept….poor execution.
Can you spell Rip-Off?. I walked out thinking for the price of admission and the extortive food prices we could have had a fantastic meal at any one of several Salem-Keizer places, rented a better movie from Red Box for $1 and still had enough left over for a pair of triple-scoops at Baskin-Robins. Seven bucks for a medium sized bowl of greasy, yellow popcorn? Excuse me! Go to Northern Lights! The food’s better and you won’t have to break into your 401K to be able to afford it.
Terrible!. We will not go back! I ordered a chicken salad and it came with no fork to eat it…and no chicken! We had to leave the movie to find a waiter to get me a fork! And, my husband’s pizza tasted like soap! Not even a great movie is worth it!
