Will never return.. I’ll keep this simple. We ordered and waited for over an hour to get our food. Since they don’t bring any bread or anything to your table unless you order it…we sat drinking water for over an hour. Despite making us wait for over an hour for our order, they didn’t bring us even a complimentary crust of bread while we were waiting and didn’t take a dime off our bill. Now to the food….terrible! We got 3 dishes…chicken kabab…a beef shwarma plate…and a lamb burger. The shwarma plate was horrendous. It was a plate of barbecued fat with no meat whatsoever on the plate. The lamb burger tasted good. The chicken kabab was worse than horrendous. It crunched with the testure of a hard cucumber…none of us had ever experienced that in chicken and none of us could guess what it really was. It was terrible and we were afraid to eat it. We complained but again…not a dime off the bill. Afterwards we got a baklava…I admit it tasted wonderful but it was tiny and over 3 dollars which was ridiculous. The atmosphere in the place is not great but not bad either.Won’t go back ever…I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because both the lamb burger and the baklava had excellent flavor.
Lebanese/Mediterranean dishes done right. Best falafel and tabouli. Wish the locals would stop leaving bad reviews because the food is not McDonalds.
Yummy lunch meal. My husband and I have lunch at all kinds of places all over town, trying something different every time. We had a lovely meal on Wednesday. The food was delicious, the waitress was very helpful and attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Alsham was recommended by a friend, and we in turn would recommend it to another friend.
Lamb was tough, chewy and practically non-existant. Yuck! Should have known when at busy lunchtime there was only one other person in the restaurant! Waitress non-existant so we seated ourselves, when she finally did see that oh, she had customers there, she never even took our drink order! I got the lamb on pita (which I assumed was like a gyro). I got tons of lettuce and onion on a pita with a few miniscule strips of chewy, tough lamb (I think it was lamb…). Waitress never checked on us and we had to find her to pay. NEVER going back!
Uncaring, Unappreciated, Unimpressed. I was trying to go out with my girlfriend to a place we haven’t gone before. While venturing downtown, we found this small restaurant. As we sat down we had high hopes because restaurant looked clean. Service was sub par and we were at the restaurant for over ninety minutes. After the owner telling us that the food was fresh, we were served moldy pita bread. He preceded to give us a look as if we were crazy, practicality denying that there was anything wrong with it. The second plate was also contaminated with moldy pita. Feeling like our first confrontation didn’t get anywhere, we failed to bring it back up. No discount, no apology, and definitely no return for us. If you’re in to moldy pita this is the place for you.
Very high prices, very small portions. $30 for 2 entrees and we left hungry. Staff never asked how things were in fact we didn’t see him again yntil we paid. He was friendly but not $30 worth17 Aug, 201414 for a very small portion of terrible food – don’t
Enjoyed dinner. Had a family dinner at Alshams in there nice space upstairs. It was time to have some lamb and tasty Mediterranean dishes. Two had the lamb and beef kabob special, one had Greek salad, one the chiken kabob and I had the lamb pita sandwich. Had to leave room for the yummy Baklava. All said they liked their choices and had the right amount of spice. Even the kids found something they liked and tried new things. Our server was very attentive and friendly.
