We have been going to Gamberettis for many years since they opened on Portland Road. Back then they were exciting and had excellent food. Back then it was often difficult to find a parking spot. Over the years though the service has gotten poorer and poorer and the food has gone downhill as well. Tonight was the worst we have ever endured and probably the last as well. We were seated promptly, beverages served promptly, and the orders taken promptly. Then the world stopped except for the bad smell of dead fish that permeated the building. More than an hour later the meals started to arrive. As our group began to wait for the rest of the meals to arrive we soon realized that if we didnt eat our meals now they would be cold before the rest arrived. As a consequence the first were done eating before the last were served.The meals themselves were very disappointing. Some were sort of ok but most were very much over-cooked and some actually burned. We thought about complaining but decided that we didnt want to wait for another 2 hours for another meal.
