Love, love, love Great Harvest! They have great bread (3 cheese garlic is amazing) and the cookies are great too. Can’t wait to try one of their sandwiches for lunch sometime soon.

Came in here to get a few loaves of bread for some special dinners. One of the breads we got was a seasonal pumpkin cinnamon bread. The piece that I had in the store as a sample was heavenly, and no butter just plain. The loaf we brought home was not. The sample had lots of flavor and was soft and fresh. The loaf we took home seemed to have half the flavor and swirl to it than the sample had. It was also drier and seemed older. I felt like I had been baited and switched. I could have gotten the same bread off the shelf at any grocery store.

Free Bread sample.. Even before I had a chance to order, I was offered a warm slice of their Swiss & Dill Sourdough Bread with rich Creamery Butter. Had I not been on foot, a couple miles from my car and already carrying a large book, I would have bought a Loaf. Good salesmanship this! They had a surprisingly large Sandwich menu. I ordered a Spicy Southwest Turkey Sandwich. It lived up to its billing with good quality Turkey Breast Meat, Provolone Cheese, Romaine Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and Jalapeo Peppers with a tangy hot Dressing all toasted on a Panini Grill. Although it was very good, it could have had more Meat and less Bread. Bread is what they do, so I guess this was to be expected. As others have commented, it took a very long time to prepare. I ate outside at one of their Parisian sidewalk caf style parasoled tables. Very pleasant. Note: The South Commercial location does not have food. It’s just a Bread store.
