Don’t bother taking a cooking class. Shiba will only show you how to cook from her blend of spices and not from scratch. You will pay for the class and not be able to take any food home and there are no written instructions on how you are to cook the food @ home. Waste of my $ and time.
Excellent! I’ve been meaning to try this for a while and finally went today. I got a coconut chicken curry and it was really good.
Friendly Service & Delicious Food!. Truly amazing flavors. It’s my new favorite place to eat now. The service is amazing too. Its very clean, open and inviting. I think everyone should try Happy Curry at least once. I know I did and am now hooked on the yummy food and friendly service!
Great Flavor & Good for you…….. My whole family enjoyed our dishes at Happy Curry. The staff is very helpful and the food does not leave you bloated . I felt like we had a healthy meal without skimping on flavor.
Yum!. My husband and I stopped here for lunch today upon a recommendation from a friend. I tried the basmati rice, garlic lentils, soy beans, spinach, cauliflower, zucchini with paneer and the mild sauce. It was delicious! The mild sauce had a bit of a kick and I think next time I might ask for about 1/2 as much since i’m a spice wimp and it was ever so slightly too spicy for me. However, it was a large portion of food and I couldn’t even finish what was on my plate. My husband had a dish similar to mine except he went for chicken as his protein (but had to admit the paneer had a meat like taste and texture) with the medium sauce, he likes a bit of spice and said it was the perfect amount for him so the hot sauce must be for those not faint of heart! The person who waited on us was polite and great at explaining everything. I also had their regular hot chai tea and it was delicious! Overall, I would highly recommend.
Great Lunch, Friendly Folks. My wife and I made our first-ever stop at Happy Curry today. This Nepalese restaurant offers a cafeteria-style setup allowing you to pick from an assortment of rice, vegetables, proteins and sauces to create your lunch plate. I had a Khana made with basmati rice, ginger lentils, red onions, zucchini, beans, chicken and sweet/spicy sauces. I also tried a Dal Bhat Samosa which was very tasty. It’s a great meal and while a glance at the menu suggests there are not a large number of choices, actually, the various combinations of rices, vegetables, proteins and sauces create a good variation of flavors. The staff was quite helpful and the man dishing up the meal did an excellent job of explaining what each of the choices consists of without making us feel ignorant (even if we are!) I recommend you give this place a try – the setting, on the corner of Church & Trade Streets, is also quite nice – we enjoyed a table near the window, and then a short walk around past a few of the nearby historic buildings afterward.
Happy is right!. I love the khana plate! It’s like Subway but delicious Indian street food. Krishna is a fun and funny man who is really invested in your enjoyment of the food. I like the chicken, tandoori chicken, and paneer. The chai is great and the food is delicious and healthy.
