Worst fish tacos ever!. My wife and I decided to try Junior’s for the first time after reading some decent reviews online. We both ordered fish tacos with rice and beans and I was charged over $10 a plate for some unknown reason. The fish was all dark belly meat and tasted absolutely awful. I choked my tacos down with lots of sauce (which wasn’t too bad) and my wife ended up eating McDonalds on the way home. On top of it all, they didn’t have any tarter sauce in the place. Who’s ever heard of fish tacos without tarter? Maybe they have better things on the menu, but I won’t be back to find out.

Muy Delicioso. I love this little hole-in-the-wall place, The food is authentic and delicious! My fave is the gordita! Little pockets made from corn masa, filled with the meat for your choice, lettuce, cotija cheese and crema fresca. So delicious! Everything is made to order and is very fresh. You can choose from either mild green or spicy red sauce to add even more layers of flavor.

Disgusting!!!. Im not sure how anybody that has had mexican food can call this mexican food!! I am mexican and have eaten at alot of mexican places here in Salem, and believe me this is not quality mexican food. It is tasteless, prices are not that great either and the food is just no where near authentic!!! Will NEVER go there again.

Great place. I grew up in los angeles and so missed the great mexican food I grew up with. For the last 4 years i’ve lived in indianapolis and this week just moved back to the west coast. I was blown away by how good and affordable jr.’s was. The lady at the counter was so nice. the home made tortillas so awsome i can’t say. real pot beans just perfect. the crazy red/yellow rice with the frozen peas. To tell you the truth it tased more like the food i’ve had in mexico than the stuff from back home in cali. I had the carnitas my wife enchiladas. The carnitas not the best i’ve ever had but darn good, and my wifes enchiladas great. I saw a family eating a giant tray of gorditas, and sopes. i’m so getting that the next time i go in.. It was unmistakable the home made masa for the sopes, and you could just hear the kids yumming it up. out of the 3 mexican places we’ve tried in salem this one was the winner by far. now if a can find a papusaria near us i’ll be in hog heaven.

I’ve usually has good experiences at Junior’s. However, in September of this year I got my usual chicken tacos to go. I got home to discover only three very small pieces of chicken in each taco. The tacos were mostly filled with lettuce and very little cheese. A cost-cutting measure perhaps? I am truly disappointed. I doubt I will ever eat here again
