For the tiny kitchen they work out if they sure do push out some good food in a to timely manner as well. Anything from a BLT on a buttery croissant to delicious pizzas or Cambodian salad. And the owners are the best.

Superior Pizza has always been the purview of……… Places that specialize in such. So when I’d heard Kelli’s Bar put out a pretty impressive example, I was dubious. But I’ll be darned if it wasn’t true!I’d been to this clean, attractive little watering hole some time ago and had an unexciting order of typical bar Food, thaw-it-while-you-cook-it, Fish & Chips. My only real criticism of the lay-out is the total lack of low top tables. High tops are fine for the twenty-somethings, but old coots find bar stools effective tourniquets for the lower extremities necessitating frequent de-perches to keep the feet working. My server was a friendly, if somewhat intense, young Asian lady. I understood little of what she said and believe she could say much the same for me, but we got along just fine.I ordered a Kelli’s Combo Pizza ($13.99): Pepperoni, Ground Beef, Canadian Bacon, Onion, Green Pepper, Mushrooms, Olives and Tomatoes. The usual Mozzarella was augmented by a generous amount of Cheddar Cheese. (See photo) Its diameter was comparable to a Pizza parlor medium and it was loaded with toppings. My exuberant server provided Parmesan, Chili Flakes and, at my request, Rooster Sauce. This was as good a Bar venue Pizza as I can remember. The only minor suggestion I would offer is: Using a good Ground Pork Sausage in place of the Ground Beef, that’s mild flavor was lost in the shuffle, would be an enhancement. When I boxed the half I was unable to defeat on the spot, its heft suggested that the per pound price of this substantial Pie is pretty low. It will more than satisfy my better half’s and my dinner requirements tonight.Just goes to show you that sometimes the most pleasant surprises can be found in unexpected places.12 Jan, 2011About what one would expect.. Their Halibut Fish & Chips lunch was a lot to eat. The Fish was four generously sized frozen, battered pieces. The fries were battered (also frozen) but crisp and good. I wasn’t expecting haute cuisine when I walked in this place, so I was not disappointed. They need to get malt vinegar and upgrade their ketchup brand though. I’d go back when in the mood for this kind of chow.
