Love this place. It’s the perfect breakfast place because they really do have it all. Their French toast options are amazing. I usually go with a skillet or a burrito. The eggs benedicts are awesome too. We have always had wonderful service, AND they give you a pot of coffee.

My personal favorite breakfast in Salem!. I absolutely LOVE the Sassy Onion Grill. It’s in my top three favorite places to have breakfast in Salem.Sassy Onion is my top choice because the food and service are EXCELLENT!Not once have we had nothing but exceptional food and service here. The only thing I must point out is that you need to bring some change for the parking meters. I never carry change on me, so when we go to the Sassy Onion, I have to remember to grab some quarters. That said, the Sassy Onion staff will gladly make change for you.To sum up: This is, in my humble opinion THE BEST PLACE FOR BREAKFAST in Salem! Period.

Amazing! We went and had an awesome experience. The food was perfect. By far the best chicken strips I’ve had at a resturant. Yummy. Another great thing was the quality of food for a great price along with great service. Want to go out to eat, not burn a hole in your pocket, and come home with a smile? Go to Sassy Onion.

The food was delicious and fresh. Our server tiffany was exceptional on knowing the menu and she recommended the Monte twisto so today ham cheese fontina stuffed inside French toast in bringing back my whole family to enjoy this flavorful restaurant menu

Good food — staffing could use an upgrade. My original restaurant plan for Mother’s Day fell through and I ended up here with hopes of still making a great big deal out of my mom. Sundays are lacking in Salem restaurant choices, and on Mother’s Day, Sassy Onion was packed. I asked the fella at the host stand how long the wait would be. He did not know. I asked if we’d be able to sit on the patio (as advertised on a sandwich sign on the front sidewalk). He did not know. I was frustrated, but he said he was new. Thankfully our wait was about 5 minutes and we got to enjoy a very sunny and warm table on the patio (canopies over each table). It was very busy and service was painfully slow. When our server finally came, I wanted to splurge for my mom and order a bottle of champagne, which really threw off our server — perhaps this had never happened before. She came out with the bottle, but was afraid to open it, then wanted to take it back to the fridge to keep it cold. When we finally had her stick the bottle in our pitcher of water to stay cold and our food came, we found ourselves pretty happy. My mom enjoyed her eggs benedict, and I don’t remember what I ate except that the giant slab of grilled, towering homemade toast was the definite highlight. The important thing is that my mom said it was a great lunch, great Mother’s Day, and for that, I’m grateful Sassy was open to take care of us as a Plan B.

Great Breakfast…. One of our favorite places in Salem for breakfast. High quality food is used and prepared well. Really never had a bad meal there. Negatives; slow service, noise level and is need of a renovation… the place looks like they haven’t put any money into it for years.

I’ve been several times, and always love it. Saturday’s are crazy but you get amazing food( amazingly rich and filling sweet breakfast options) I always take home left overs, but I must say it is a little pricey for me, so eating there is a special occasion.
