  Best Cupcakes in Salem!. I’ve been to Sugar Sugar many times and have found that the quality of their cupcakes is consistently spectacular. They’re scrumptious! The cake is light and moist and the frosting is to die for. I recently had a situation where I needed specialty cupcakes for a birthday party the SAME day and the owner went above and beyond to take care of me. She baked them to order the same day and had them waiting for me when I got off work. She’s been very pleasant to deal with and they were a HUGE hit at the party. Not a morsel left!07 Sep, 2012Absolutely delicious. I went in today to buy cupcakes for a birthday and purchased several kinds without ever having tasted any of their cupcakes. I decided to try the vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream frosting as quality control and LOVED it. I brought another one back to a co-worker who agreed with me. It’s delicious! The frosting tastes homemade and turned me from a frosting hater to a frosting lover. It decadently sweet with just a hint of salt to balance it out. Truly one of the best cupcakes that I’ve eaten. The cake was really moist and flavorful, too. I can’t wait to try all of the other flavors! Cute boutique shop……..I’ll definitely be a regular!

  Do not waste your time or money here. The cake I ordered for my baby shower was horrible. The consistency of play dough. I had over 50 guests and not one would eat it. When I complained to the owner she informed me that she tasted the cake and thought it was good so I could not have a refund. This owner is arrogant, rude and more concerned with her happiness than that of her customers. Please do not support a business that does not stand behind its products.

  Hmmm?. I ate a vanilla cupcake with butter cream frosting, it was cold but still moist and the cake part tasted OK and yet the frosting taste from a can. I bake at home all the time and with three kids who love cupcakes, I know when I taste a can of frosting. I also saw she had an oven in there, I went in at 10am when she opened and no scent of freshly baked cupcakes. I’d like to really know who bakes her cupcakes? My sister owns a bakery in Oregon and bakes amazing cupcakes too, but she bakes there and has tubs of flours, sugars, ingredients, etc. I’m almost positive she doesn’t bake there. I also heard once that the cakes are baked at Chalet in Brooks by someone else. Maybe I’ll go in again and ask her myself.

  Amazing cupcakes!. I’m not too big on sweets, myself — candy or cupcakes, but a coworker had a birthday and we brought in some Sugar Sugar cupcakes for the occasion. They were the prettiest cupcakes I’ve ever seen so I had to eat one — and they were DELICIOUS! The cake tasted homemade, and the buttercream was light, not heavy; not so overly sweet that I had to leave any icing behind. I enjoyed every bite!

  Had Sugar Sugar cupcake yesterday and it was almost too cute to eat. But I did and it was awesome, I suggest if you have a party or little gathering to pick some up
