Not bad, didn’t love it – I’m neutral!. Not too much to say, the service wasn’t rude nor friendly. The layout of the place appears to be a nice spot to hang out or do laptop type activities. The coffee I didn’t love as it was overly bitter for my taste. I was a bit surprised by them having a bar as well.UPDATE–I decided to give the place another go. This time I had a wonderful woman help the girlfriend and I. She was chatty and very pleasant to do business with. It just goes to show one bad employee can make the difference on how you appear to the public! We sat down this time and since it has been particularly hot, it was nice to enjoy their air conditioning. The other patrons were people having quiet conversations or busying themselves with their laptops. It was a nice relaxing break while running around downtown.
I like this place a lot. The atmosphere is chill and relaxing. The service is great and the coffee is refreshing(and gave me a great caffeine buzz). Its a bit tough to find as its tucked away a bit, but once you find it you’ll love it.
Love this place!. I’ve been a fan of GovCup for years, mostly due to their delicious chai and awesome hours. However, they recently came under new ownership, and as much as I enjoyed it before, the new owners have made some significant improvements. They now have a great selection of pastries, they’ve cleaned up the decor a lot, plus they seem a lot nicer to the employees than the previous owner was. I highly recommend this place for your coffee needs.
Terrible wi-fi policy. This coffee shop only allows people who purchase a beverage to sit down at a table. I bought something to eat and began to use the free wi-fi, and was soon told that only drinking customers were allowed to use the tables and wi-fi. This policy is completely ridiculous. I asked the barista to clarify, and she told me that even if I had only bought food and didn’t want to use the wi-fi, that I would still have to leave. Apparently, food purchases are only to-go at the Governor’s Cup.
