I used to be a due hard fan about 5 years ago, but I won’t be back. I went there the other day wanting a quick bite. I mainly stopped by because Great Harvest wasn’t open. But since I love Venti’s I stopped by. I waited about 20-25 minutes for chicken and rice, which isn’t what I ordered. I’m a vegetarian, so when I mentioned they brought the wrong food, they asked if I couldn’t eat meat. Once they knew, they asked if they could make the right dish, but because I waited for 25 minutes, my lunch break was actually done by then. They didn’t offer to take off the meat or give me 12 dollars back on something I couldn’t eat. I was upset to see chicken on my plate because they are supposed to be known as a cool vegetarian place. Nope. I won’t refer people here anymore.
Great Local Suggestion. I am working in the Salem area for work for the next 3 weeks. I have asked plenty of people where they suggest I eat and Venti’s came up. When I walked in, it reminding me of some local eateries in downtown Dayton, OH which is great. I ordered on the suggestion of the cashier and took it to go. It did take 15 minutes for them to create the order, but well worth it! The burger was great and displayed nicely in the togo container and the spicy tots were excellent. I will be back for another round before I leave!
Yum!!! Awesome meal, great service! Definitely wi come back next time we are in town!
Delicious fresh food. I’ve been to their South Commercial street location and I am totally delighted with this place. Just a comfortable place to relax and talk to those close to you. The workers are so friendly and they do a great job. Their food is wonderfully fresh and I highly recommend their beer & wine collection. They have over 100 types in bottle form I believe. I had a really pleasant meade here. Take a chance on this place, you won’t be disappointed
Big night out included Venti’s. I was immediately drawn to the laid back but bustling atmosphere. The place has a distinctly young hip vibe in the limited space. Mrs. RR was very pleased by the vegetarian choices. The Meza plate was a knockout app shared by the 6 adults. It would make more than a meal for one. One complaint, no tahini. Falafel is incomplete without it in my book. A minor nit but worth mentioning. My caprese wrap was good but not remarkable. The ingredients were immaculately fresh but… It lacked the expected punch of basil that is signature for a caprese anything! I’d try them again, and plan to, but I think I might stick to the excellent vegetarian fare. I can and do recommended the pita chips, hummus, falafel and a nice salad topped with an excellent mango/balsamic dressing that sticks out as one of the highlights. I’ll be back to try the basement for sure, when I am without the wee sprout.
Salem’s Best Creative Food. I like Venti’s alot. There are lots of tasty unusual items and vegetarian options. I love the unusual salad dressings. It is very light healthy food. Its a winner in every respect. Great friendly service. I am only reviewing the Downtown location I have never been out south.I would like to amend my original review to point out a few highlights of the menu since I have eaten here a lot over the last month. Two of the best things that you can eat in Salem are the green curry (with that yummy citrus twang) and the spicy mac and cheese with blackened chicken. Awesome!
An absolute favorite!. I love the Court St location for it’s basement bar (wish it opened at 3 instead of 4). The dim lit atmosphere that others dislike is a huge favorite for myself and hubby. We have never disliked our food either. The Meza Plate and the sweet potatoe fries are as good as it gets!!! They always have an awesome beer selection. The gal that works the bar primarily w/ the dark hair (embarrassed not to remember her name) — she is awesome and effecient and we love her! We have had a few others wait on us that really lacked but they never seem to last long. And not even a bad experience here and there could keep us away from Venti’s Basement bar! The south location is great as well and we go there when we have our kids w/ us. It is more family friendly and more roomy. Same great food 🙂
