It’s McMenamin’s alright!. Very standard fare for the McMenamin’s empire. They have figured out how to make the food consistent from one location to the next. And it’s a pretty good quality for the price.I like this location because it’s a really cool structure. An old tavern that looks like it began life as a big ol’ barn. Second story loft in the center of the structure offers a more intimate space when they’re serving up there. As always, make sure you’re not in a rush because they’re not. But it’s always pleasant and courteous.

I really want to love this place but I just can’t. The atmosphere is amazing but…The service is so casual as to be nonexistent. And the food is just good enough but nothing more.Too bad because it is a really good looking place.

I been going here after work a few times when they have happy hour. The food and price during happy hour is great. The only problem I have here is the service. When I started going here it was great service, but the past few times have been horrible. When I went the last time we waited for 15-20 minutes and then had to go up to the bar to ask where our server was and he said he would send one over now. Our server didn’t even seem like she wanted to be there nor did she smile or seem interested. She gave us our food and gave us our check like she wanted us out fast. I’m definitely going to a different place that treats their customers better.

Beautiful facilities, standard McM’s food. I really like this location. The buildings are beautiful, inside and out. We always sit by the woodstove on chilly days and find that bone warming heat something a little special. The food is… well… McM’s standard menu. I think they make a very acceptable burger (love me some Wilber’s Deluxe) and I like their house cut fries very much. If you want food fast… go to a fast food joint. I have always found their service to be quite good and the wait times acceptable. if you are on a lunch break and under time constraints… I can understand some frustration. But it IS consistent so deal… or move on.And let’s face it… they may be one of the oldest microbrew places in Oregon but they remain one of the best. The beers (love the seasonal’s) are consistently excellent!

Go for the atmosphere, certainly not the food or the appalling service.

Love this place!. McMenamins in general tends to have a little slower service than most. Usually the locality or the food/beer and the unique buildings make it worth the continued trips. With that said, this is by far my favorite of all of their locations. The food is great, the service is good, even if a little slow at times. The location is what really makes it for me though. Now they are also the west side distillery for McMenamins. Just one more reason to stop by!
