  My husband and I went in for lunch today – service was friendly and great, the food was delicious, the restaurant was very clean – we’ll go back again!!!

  Magnifico! Food was grubbing. Enchilada sauce was zesty. Great service. Tame margarita. Free chips and salsa. Left stuffed.

  First to address Tiffany and kristin’s horrible reviews which r unfounded!! Make sure u check where the coupons come from there is more than 1 Juan Colorado in Portland metro area. This is THE best!! I have accidentially tried to use ones for capital hwy or tualatin locations…so read the whole thing!! And FYI… The mercado next door is allll owned by the same family! So basically ur getting similar style of cooking!! These are brothers that own both establishments!! Juan colorado has been my family’s favorite since my daughter was 5! They are always gracious and very gentle. These people work from the time they open til they close at night. Any frequenter would see that. I have seen rude white people talk to them like they are stupid and shout them because if their language skills…and never have they reacted in any way but nice. If it’s busy… I have seen rude people seat themselves and make demands. I have seen people complain when they find a bay leaf in their food trying to say they put dirt or yard work in the food…trying to get a free meal!! Ignorance! We have seen people be mean for having to wait 10 minutes for a table while the place is slammed…also demanding refills and wanting to b served under an hr!! They always serve me in timely manner…considering other guests..ect. Every time I order take out…no longer than 20 minutes do I wait for a full on Mexican dinner!! Do you know how long this takes??? It takes me hrs!! We will always support Juan Colorado!!! Bueno bueno to hardest working people!!

  There is nothing you can’t order, all there food is amazing. Highly recommend the nachos, there’s enough to split with someone. Only thing I recommend is go at least one hour before closing, the night service can a little rude. Day crew is nicer.

  GIANT PLATE!. Wow – I have never seen such humongous plates in my life! HUGE portion sizes for the price. The food was good, salsa spicy, chips fresh, meat of good quality, produce fresh and crispy, but the service left much to be desired. From the moment I entered the restaraunt the server would not make eye contact with me. He was standoffish the entire visit – almost to the point of me thinking he must have mistaken me for a rude customer from the past (although this was my first visit). It made me unfomfortable when I had to interact with him because of this. I would certainly return to the restaraunt, as the food was good, and you cannot judge a place based on one employee, but just be prepared in case you get him as your waiter – don’t let it ruin your visit.

  Good Food, Not So Good Service.. The Food Was good, And the Portion sizes were huge. The Service however, Was another story. We never got refills till we were almost finished eating, the waiter never made eye contact and seemed rather rude for no apparent reason.

  Real mexican is just a few doors down. If you like the real deal mexican, go a few doors down to the mercado – the restaurant in the back is the REAL DEAL. I think the same folks own both the mercado and the restaurant, but for my taste, the mercado, especially the carnitas, is WHERE IT’S AT!!!!!
