Used to be better. Vi Thai changed owners about a year ago. Menu is basically the same, but the quality of some of the dishes has gone down. Doesn’t taste as fresh and the chicken in one of the curry dishes was tasteless and rubbery. I asked the waitress how it was prepared and she answered ‘steamed’. The curry sauce itself was very good, though. The grilled chicken with my Vietnamese noodle dish was better, but the noodles were thick and a little gummy.

This used to be out ‘go-to’ place for Thai food. They had amazing flavors, portions and prices. Just went to get take out, came home and something is different. New owners, chef or something. The chicken now tastes microwaved, the sauce isn’t as flavorful and the portions (especially the rice) are smaller along with higher prices. I probably won’t be back, very very sad.

Still good, but used to be great. This restaurant used to be great thai food at a value price. I used to go out of my way to hit the outerskirts of Gresham/Troutdale for this food. Changes have been made. I’d say the quality is still pretty good. My favorites continue to be the Panang curry and cashew chicken. The prices seem to have been inflated while the rice that is provided is diminished. Which I don’t get since rice costs very little. But, the last couple of times I’ve had to order, and pay for, extra rice. I will likely visit Vi Thai again. But, it is no longer the go to Thai restaurant for that area. There are others to try.

I think the chef changed recently, and unfortunately so did the taste of the food. I used to order Pad See Yew all the time, but now there isn’t much flavor to it. Other dishes I used to order are now a let down. The red curry still seems to be okay, but the amount of rice for take out really isn’t enough now. I’m so disappointed.

Quality has really gone down. The portions are a lot smaller and everything is just made poorly.

Large menu, staff is always friendly, generous portions and very good pad Thai

Clean, Friendly, Taste Right. Great Thai food. The Tom Yum reminded me of a great little restaurant in Phuket Thailand.
