This is a tough gig. Next door to perhaps the most popular taqueria in Woodburn if not the north central valley. That said, what a great family run eatery. Where there are so many cafeteria like taquerias around this is the quintessential Mexican sit down family restaurant. As I have posted before, I judge places like this on a few common plates. First and perhaps foremost is a killer chile relleno. They NAILED it. No gringo aneheim chile. No common poblano. No, TWO firey pasilla chiles lightly floured and deep fried. Stuffed with honest salty queso they were lovely. The usual frijoles and rice were adequate but not remarkable. The Tecate was cold as a scorned women’s heart and all in all… I give this joint a solid 7.5. Give them a try sooner rather than later.
