Like a trip to Mazatlan!. This is the most authentic mexican food you can find in Oregon, the food is great and the staff are friendly! Worth the long drive from Portland, it’s much closer than Mexico 😉 They also do an amazing job with catering! We had them cater a party of 50 and they well exceeded our expectations!
Wow… to think. How many delicious lunches I have missed by not trying this local gem sooner. Today’s special was a fabulous mix of camarones, calamar, almeja and musceles (shrimp,squid,clams,muscles) in a fiery hot diabla sauce, combined with saute’d onion and mushrooms. Very good spanish style rice with standout frijoles plus steamed commercial corn tortillas. This dish was at the upper end of my heat range and I like it HOT. Be warned, if it says caliente or diabla/Diablo it’s not gringo hot, it’s Guadalajara hot!I intend to hit this place a few more times in quick succession, there is a lot more I want to experience based on this first visit!
