Busted Birthday. We went to Heidi’s in anticipation of an enjoyable birthday. The special bottle of wine with a bow on top that my wife sweetly presented remained unopened due to the $20 corkage fee the owner demanded..Everything turned out to be a problem here. We asked to add shrimp to one dish, and he became annoyed, stating that someone else had once changed a dish and then written a poor review about it and he wasn’t ever going to do that again..We found ourselves having to beg for bread, eating ordinary food at high prices, and enduring the owner’s disapproval of our wanting to open the curtian to look out..In retrospect, I wish we had walked out at once, rather than to permit my birthday celebration to be ruined at a price over $100.

Only had 2 meals here but both times everything was excellent and good staff too.

Worth the stop!. We really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The folks working the place were knowlagable and friendly. The limited menu is interesting, well thought out and excellently prepared. We had two different types of lasagna which were fabulous, but the braised beef is hands down the best meal in town. Good wine selection.

Heidi’s is my favorite restaurant in Yachats. Excellent Italian food, with a nortthwest twist. The restaurant has a simple menu offering a dozen or fewer choices (all, of which, are delicious). The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cheerful.

Great Place All Round!. Weren’t sure where to eat in town and read a lot of lukewarm reviews of the local joints (except for Luna Sea, which is awesome and Ona which, by the way, is AWFUL). We ended up at Heidi’s and had a really memorable, delicious meal. The staff were really friendly and warm, they had great wine recommendations and the food was excellent. Tasty bread, nice Caesar salad and fried oysters to start, then some great Cioppino and seafood lasagne, followed by two incredible desserts, one a panna cotta with honey and saffron and the other a fresh ricotta cheesecake with an almond crust. Absolutely not run of the mill, boring Americanized Italian food. Great people, unpretentious service, a warm friendly environment and awesome food. Go!

This is one of my favorite places on the Oregon Coast. The Cioppino is full of seafood and the broth is delicious. The various ravioli plates like portobello mushroom are rich and beautifully prepared. The Italian wines are a perfect companion with the food. The Chocolate Amore cake is moist and outrageously good. Best of all the owners of Heidi’s are warm and welcoming and you feel like you are very special guest. I cannot wait to return.

If you like the real thing, you will love it here. The portions are right sized so if you want to belly up to the feed trough go elsewhere.
