You can purchase fresh seafood or let them do the cooking for you as we did on our recent vacation. The restaurant is very small and to say modest would be an understatement. My wife and I each ordered the halibut fish and chips. The fish was moist and fries crispy, not much more can you ask of fish and chips.
Fresh seafood! Glad we found this place as we drove through. It was casual and the owner was very courteous/friendly, but the wait staff was honestly lacking… Anyways, I would gladly go back!
Luna Sea is housed in a colorful, small old building, but it is packed with fresh seafood. The salmon hash is filled with chunks of salmon and the seafood omelet has shrimp, crab and halibut. I also like the huevos rancheros with polenta and black beans.
Best Fish Tacos Ever. The fish tacos are incredible. These are made with 3 kinds of fish and the apple in the veggies adds a nice sweetness. Just great! Nice seasoned fries and all reasonably priced. We will eat here again for sure.
AMAZING. Great food, could tell that the fish was of great quality and fresh, everything we got was amazing. Would recommend to everyone I know and will definitely be back. Portions were great as well. I ordered the Ling Cod and chips- batter was light and tasty, not heavy or greasy and the chips/fries were delicious as well.
All about the food.. A great restaurant in terms of food excellence. Fish is as fresh as it can be (it’s on ice right next to you in the case), and its preparation is masterful, brilliant flavors, great spicing, and not masked by dependency on heavy handed processes or breadings, etc. Very small inside, but pleasant, and fits the Yachats art/laid back vibe. There is additional seating outside of the weather is cooperating, and the wait staff is pleasant and holds a fine balance of attendance and privacy. For those who find themselves in a great seafood restaurant but don;t want fish, their various burgers are a fine alternative; great flavors of quality products.
