We stayed in Yachats for a week and ate here every night! The food was amazing, the service outstanding, it’s just a great place to eat! Live music every night too. They use wonderful fresh ingredients with great daily specials. They are well worth the wait if they are busy. Make sure to take your drink around back and sit by the fire! We loved our bread sticks straight out of the pizza oven! Thanks Drift Inn for a great week! See you next year.
We had three meals at Drift Inn, two dinners and a lunch, so we got to try a variety of their meals. Service was always very good, and the atmosphere is comfortable. We found the dinners more interesting and well-prepared than the lunches, but the lunches were good as well. The homemade chicken pot pie was a highlight, as were the dungeness crab cakes. Yummy marionberry cobbler for dessert. And they have live music at night (not loud, so you can still have a conversation).
Great breakfast. We came for breakfast and had a yummy meal. The bacon was cooked to perfection.
Great dinner stop. Everyone in our party enjoyed food and fun of The Drift Inn. Most of us had the delicious Halibut Fish and Salad, one with Fries. I checked out the fries they were tasty, so good we didn’t need ketchup. My hubby had the 8 oz. Steak. He said it was very good. We were impressed by the salad, great lettuce, greens and slightly pickled yellow beet slices. The coffee drinkers gave the coffee high marks. Always enjoy the atmosphere and music. One small disappointment was the had ran out of lamb and therefore didn’t have the Lamb Kabobs. We always have a good time and meal when we stop at the Drift Inn.
Keep On Driving. We ate here for lunch. The atmosphere was nice and staff appeared friendly (it was a slow time of day), but the food was not as nice. We ordered seafood, as we were at the coast and we ended up with very small proportions for a rather high price. I got the salmon and it was a small piece, overly cooked, with unflavored plain ole white rice (small spoonful) and what they called veggies (sauteed onions and 1 small piece of broccoli). It was disappointing. My husband got the seafood lasagna, which said tasted good, but was also small in proportion for the cost. They forgot his salad, and provided him the same veggies I got. He got his salad after asking about it, and it looked pretty good, compared to the rest of the meal. I think if you order non-seafood items then you may have a better chance of getting more food for the cost; however, I did not feel well after eating here. We will not go back.
Great place our second time here
My mother in law enjoyed her soup but my black beans, Spanish rice & tortilla chip bowl was bland & overpriced. My husband got a teriyaki rice bowl & enjoyed the meat & veggies but thought the rice was undercooked minute rice. We are coast residents & won’t be going back.
